Dragon girl

Chapter 2

Cassandra's POV

When I open my eyes I can see Heimdal standing in front of us holding his sword that is the key to the bifrost. I have just traveled with Thor from Midgard (Earth) to Asgard via the bifrost, and I must say it was way harder than I thought. But it isn't my first time.

"Long time no see." Heimdal greets me.

"I am aware." I reply looking down at my feet.

"It's good to see you again, Emerald." he then says smiling a little.

"Thank you, it's good to see you again." I smile back.

"I have a horse waiting for me, do you want to ride with me or do you prefer flying?" Thor asks me.

"I prefer flying." I answer with a small smile.

"Then I shall see you at the palace, the Allfather is waiting."

I smile and we walk out on the rainbow bridge leading to the palace, Thor gets up on his horse and set of in full speed. I take a deep breath and then turn into a dragon and fly towards the palace in full speed, I pass Thor on the rainbow bridge. When I fly past him I roar a mighty roar and continue until I reach the palace front side. It's a big square where they train the new protectors of Asgard and I can see from far away that they are training. I roar again when approaching and they look up, I can hear them screaming orders to take defensive positions. I land in the middle of the square and I am surrounded by armed soldiers ready to strike at any given command. I am not bothered by it and I stand waiting for something to happen, and that is when Thor finally arrives. He gets off his horse and stand next to me.

"Fear not, for she is a friend." he says loud.

The soldiers look at each other like he is crazy. But they won't move, Thor looks at me.

"Would you be ever so kind to shift into a human now?" he asks.

I smile and turn myself into a girl again, but this time I'm wearing a dress from Asgard with light flowing fabric and one of the shoulders bare. My hair is in a tight braid and has some pearls in it.

"This my friends is Cassandra Erakdottir of Mayhem. She is here as a friend, she shall not harm anyone and the Allfather has sent for her." he says and then holds out my arm to take.

I take his arm and he leads me into the palace, we enter a big hall with pillars on the sides and a throne in the back where the Allfather sits talking to the warriors five. The whole room is covered in gold with nordic patterns going up the pillars like snakes. The Allfather looks up and looks me in the eyes as we come closer, the others turn and look confused. Why is there a little girl holding Thor's arm in the Throne room?

"I suppose we shall leave." Fandral says and they start to turn away but Odin stops them.

"No not at all. I want you to meet a very special girl, this is Cassandra Eraksdottir of Mayhem. Cassandra, meet the warriors five."

I bowed to both them and Odin.

"It is a great honour to meet you." I say.

"May I ask what is so special about this little girl?" Lady Sif asks Odin.

"Cassandra, will you show us please?" Odin asks.

I bow my head and let go of Thor's arm and go down the steps that lead up to the throne onto the floor where I once again turn into a dragon. The golden hall is so big that I fit without a problem. Of course they get surprised and don't know what to say.

"Is she able to speak as a dragon?" Fandral asks.

"Yes, but only in a dead tongue which only the world serpent, Jormungandr, understands." Odin explains.
