A few days later when the Avengers group was in their building hidden away from the rest of New York, they got a warning from Friday that something was approaching the building. When Tony then looked at a monitor to see what it was he saw it was the dragon. He got in his suite and flew outside. Thor had returned to Asgard to handle with Loki, but the rest of the group was all living in their secret building. Steve also went outside to meet the dragon.
Tony had actually been looking for the dragon everywhere but not found it, he wanted to know all about it. If it was a human and its abilities, what it could do and how strong it was and so on. So when he got the signal from Friday he was excited to see it.
They where now on the field a few feet from it, the dragon had just landed but wasn't standing on all four legs, just three. It was big as a medium sized house and had big wings, four legs, a long tail, spikes running down its back and two big horns on its head. It had big teeth that were razor sharp and terrifying green eyes piercing into your soul.
"It looks hurt." Steve said looking at the fourth leg that wasn't touching the ground.
It was bleeding and you could see a few wounds on it.
"The muscle in the leg is broken from the wounds, that's why it's not standing on that leg." Tony explained after scanning it.
"Do you think it understands what we are saying?" Steve asked Tony.
"There's only one way to find out." Tony said landing on the ground removing his mask.
"Do you understand us?" he called to the big dragon.
To his surprise the dragon nodded slightly.
"Can you speak to us?" Steve called to it.
It didn't nod this time and instead it took out its wings and wrapped them in front of itself so a white light surrounded it. Steve and Tony covered their eyes from the light and when the light disappeared and they looked back there was no dragon standing in front of them, it was a girl. She looked like she was a teenager and was wearing old worn out clothes with holes and stains on them. She had long curly golden hair with grey colored eyes.
"What just happened?" Tony asked.
"I think the dragon turned into a little girl." Steve answered.
The girl wasn't standing on her right leg just like the dragon hadn't. And there was still blood coming from a few wounds on her leg.
"Are you hurt?" Steve called out to her.
She didn't answer but nodded.
"We need to help her." Steve said and started to walk towards her.
"But she's a dragon Steve!" Tony said trying to stop him.
"And dr. Banner is the Hulk." he simply answered.
When he got closer she tried to back away but couldn't because of her leg. Steve saw that and stopped, he walked slower always showing his hands so she could see them as he moved closer.
"It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you." he said calming her down.
When he was only a meter away he stopped and looked at her.
"What is your name?" he asked.
"Cassandra." she answered shortly.
"Well, Cassandra, I'm Steve. Can you walk?" he asked her.
"No."
"Okay, is it fine if Tony Stark over there flies you to the building so we can help you?" he asked.
