Notebooks and papers littered the hallway floor. Someone screamed in the background. Coach Sylvester was angry and took her anger out on any of the McKinley students who happen to be in her wake. She said "You wanna know how I feel about hats?" I quickly hid my plum hair sticks in my music note purse. Coach Sylvester grabbed a student’s hat and flung it across the hallway. She continued with "Just cause!" She grabbed tina by the shoulders and threw her into a locker. Tina stumbled and fell into me. I righted her out and, hitching up my long floor length black skirt, we ran off. As soon as we were out of Coach Sylvester's line of sight, I put my pins back into my bun.
"This can’t be happening." Tina said. "Yeah, this does seem like a terrible idea." Artie added. "Guys! It’s not up for discussion, okay?" Mr. Schue said. I said "Mr. Schue! She threw tina into a locker!" Mr. Schue said "Now it’s no secret that Coach Sylvester has taken her licks." Santana shook her head and said "I mean… just wanky…" Coach Sylvester looked over at Sntana. Mr. Schue said "And I believe that she could use a little sympathy from us." Mercedes looked appalled and said "Sympathy? From us? Nuh uh." Quinn said "Yeah, all she’s ever done is make our lives miserable." Santana said "She got exactly what she deserved." Coach Sylvester said "You’re lucky I left my blow-gun at home Air-bags cause I got a clear shot at your nonnies." I gave her a scandalized look and said "Coach!" SHe shrugged and said "Saying it like I see it Miss Ochestra Conductor." I glared at her and faced forward. She cotiinued to Mr. Schue said "Let me break it down for you. I am no longer a threat to you people, alright. I’m just hoping that your singing and dancing around will pull me out of my doldrums and give me a reason to live… Is that too much to ask?" Mr. Schue said "Guys, it’s settled. Sue’s going to be with us for the week. Now, I received a envelope in the mail today." Mr. Schue picked up a letter that was sitting on the piano behind him. Quinn said "Yes, you did." We all made approving comments. He continued with "I know that we’re facing Kurt and the Warblers at Regionals." I smiled. Coach Sylvester said "Sweet Porcelain…" Mr. Schue said "And it looks like this year, we face Oral Intensity again." Mercedes said "They cleaned our clock last year." Mr. Schue said "It seems that the governing board has assigned a theme to this year’s Regionals and part of our score will be based on how we interpret it. This year’s theme: anthem. Now who can tell us who what an anthem is?" Rachel and I raised our hands. Brittany didn't even wait to be called upon before answering in a matter-of-fact tone and said "It’s the bottom of an ant’s pants." … So close, so close." Rachel’s hand was still in the air. Mr. Schue said "No, an anthem is an epic song…" Artie looked to Brittany looking sympathetic; Rachel put her hand down. I noticed a thin, green haired haired girl run down the hall, looking back every few steps. "Mr. Schue?" I looked back over and noticed Sam get up and stand next to Mr. Schue. "Oh, hey Sam. I didn’t even notice your new haircut…" I zoned out again as the girl ran by the door again. She looked terrified. I vaguely heard everyone else laugh about something Puck said and coach sylvester tell them to let Sam speak. "Laugh all you want, but that kid’s an epic talent. And there’s a number that I’ve been working on that I’ve been meaning to show off. And I think it qualifies as an anthem because… it’s just hugely emotional and… sums up our generation." Mr. Schue patted Sam on the chest and said "Alright, let’s hear it buddy." Sam grabbed a guitar sitting by the band that was sitting in. Sam strummed a few chords as he centered himself in the middle of the room.

Sam started to serenade Quinn, who was clearly not enjoying the attention. I barely payed any attention as I hoped the girl outside the Choir Room got away from whoever was chasing her. The bell shocked me out of my worry for the mysterious girl. I grabbed my bag and ran off to go find the girl.
I found her being cornered by the cheerios who had slushies in their hands. I growled and banished the slushies in their hands. I created a smoke screen and pulled the girl with me to the bathroom. I said "Okay. Why were the cheerios chasing you? What's your name?" She looked at me with rainbow eyes that had a heart pupil, completely confused and she said "Why do you care?" I said "Because, I have a friend who was bullied and I don't want anyone to go through what she had to." The girl said "I'm Gwynwyfar Ambrose-Pendragon. They were chasing me because I may have accidentaly spilt my mug of tea on one of them." I noticed Gwynwyfar hide her wrists behind her arms. I said "How often does this happen? Cuz, that looked like it was an everyday thing." She said "It is. I don't really care though." I looked at her and said "It's not healthy to let yourself be bullied." Gwynwyfar turned red and tried to speak before pulling a tablet out of her backpack and wrote something on it She turned it to me and I saw that it said 'I can't stand up for myself. I'm not used to talking to other people. As it is I'm struggling with even writing a coherrent sentence.' I said "Ever thought of learning sign language?" She became even redder and wrote something enlse on her tablet. She turned it to me and I read out loud "I know how to, I'm just afraid people will treat me worse." I then got an idea. "Hey, why don't we text each other and I try to help you with your shyness." Gwyn shrugged and said out loud "Sure. But call me Merida. That's my middle name and less obnoxios to spell." I laughed and said "Alright, Merida. I'm Marie Potter, but Call me any variant of elizabeth." I studied her and noticed that she must not do or eat much because she looked unhealthily thin and had no muscle. I then took in her grey-brown coloring, dark bruises under her eyes, and faded and tatty clothing. "Merida, do you have eating problems?" She looked down and said "Yes. I don't eat all the time. It's not that I want to do that but my sisters are more important than me." I said "How about I give you this?" I pulled out my bento I'd been saving for lunch. I said "It's white rice, orange chicken, an onujiri filled with pork, and carrots." Merida gave me a confused look and signed the word why. I said "Because, my granndpa was treated badly as a kid and so was a distant cousin of mine, they are as different as can be. Grandpa is a nice man who is selfless, and humble. Tom was an arrogant psychopath who thought anyone of mixed blood was below him." She gasped and said "Tom Riddle and Harry Potter." I gave her a surprised look and said "You know the story?" She nodded and said "Your grandpa's story is what helped me get through all my troubles in life. My philosophy is 'If Harry Potter could do it, so can I.' It's the only thing that has kept me going for years." I said "Okay, do you believe magic exists?" Merida signed 'Of Course!' I smiled and said "Well, how would you like to meet my grandpa Harry." Merida looked at me with hopeful eyes and said, in an even quieter voice than she had previously used, "Really? I can meet him?" I said "Yeah." She said "Okay."
