His Girl/ Colby Brock X Reader

34/Egypt day 5

We got up this morning around three, we got up and ready to hot air ballooning. We were all excited, especially Elton. We were with a crowd of people who were doing the same thing as us. We all headed down to a boat. We had to walk across a small bridge, and by a bridge I mean planks of wood and a metal track, to get to the boats so because I'm me, I had Sam go ahead of me so I cloud walk holding onto him. 

Because Colby... the one who I should be holding onto, is probably going to get Heath back at some point. On the boat, I sat with Sam and Colby. Colby and I were holding hands the whole trip. 

We arrived at the hot air balloon departure point. We watched other balloons go up before ours, and of course, the boys did stupid stuff, which I did not partake in by the way. We got in Sam then me, Colby, Heath then Elton. I stood hugging Colby hiding my face in his shoulder because the flames that made the balloon go were extremely hot. 

"That is toasty" Elton had to raise his voice to be heard over the roar of the fire and boosters. We were being held down by only people now. I was scared as the boosters went off I squealed and hugged Colby tighter. 

"What is up with you Skittles?" Elton asked. "She's afraid of heights, she's not letting go," Colby said through a chuckle, they all laughed at me. "We haven't even left the ground yet," Heath said confused. "But I know how far off the ground we'll be soon!" I said letting Colby go with one hand so I could karate chop the air and point at the ground. 

We were off the ground about a meter and I was shaking as Elton kept saying how weird it was. We got a lot higher. 

"Babe, look. Look princess" Colby said calmly into my hair. I pulled myself away from him and looked out, there might not be much more than a few cliffs and ground to see but from up high it looked amazing. 

We looked to the other side and saw the sun rising over green fields. "Look, the sunrise," Sam said in awe, "not gonna see it like this anywhere again," I said looking at it still holding onto Colby, but only his arm. Colby and I... and everyone, had just finished getting some pictures when we back to looking out at everything.  I overheard Elton and Sam talking about jumping off and being sarcastic about ways it would work, then they dragged me and Colby into it. 

"I'm not even going to think about jumping, let alone looking down or even talking about it," I said firmly. they finished their discussion, it took a few tries and a lot of bribing but Colby eventually got me looking out, leaning on the side of the basket. Now I could see everything. A few minutes later we came so close to power lines that even Elton and the others were saying how close and sketchy it was. 

From where we were we could see farmers and people going about their early morning business out in the fields and we could see houses and animals and a lot of things, we were closer to the ground now and I was still in awe of everything. 

Colby and Sam were challenged by Elton to see who could grab a piece of the plant, I think sugar cane or wheat. We were coming in and we could touch it. Both boys leaned out to grab some and I just stood eyes closed because I couldn't watch in case they fell.  Elton laughed and I opened my eyes, the boys wouldn't have had to have Elton and Heath hold their feet if they'd waited thirty seconds or so. I leaned over gracefully and plucked a piece. 

"Here's mine," I said and we all laughed. We were just gliding above the sugar cane fields so close that some of the tallest plants brushed against the bottom. We talked and joked around and Elton, again, used the word pleasant. It's flippin' weird. 

We carried on getting higher now as we came back to the starting point. Heath and Colby started being artsy. They put their hands in a heart shape and took pictures of that. 

We went over peoples houses and saw all kinds of animals and people doing various chores or just hanging around watching the hot air balloons. 

We landed and climbed out. We were standing around getting used to being on the ground again. I was hugging Colby around his waist he was hugging me back. "Piggyback?" I asked. "Fine" he grunted and bent down so I could get on his back. I jumped up and he held my legs and I hung my arms in front of him over his shoulders limply. 

"How was that?" Elton asked. "Amazing" Colby replied. I lifted my head up from his shoulder "Amazing, beautiful, stunning, gorgeous, and all those other words" I said dropping my face back onto his shoulder. They chuckled and I groaned. "I'm tired," I said dragging the 'i'. 

A man came around and handed us a certificate of participation. I laughed as Elton took mine and Colby's so he could hold me. We had to pose for a picture so Colby had to put me down. Elton told everyone to dab. So he did and I went under Colby's arm and kissed him while still facing the camera. 

After the photo, we got back into a minibus and I sat with my head on Colby's shoulder an went to sleep.
