Brittany's POV (Next Night At Alexis' Place)
"Ready to go?" I asked.
"Yeah," said Alexis walking in wearing denim shorts, a dark green spaghetti strap, a denim jacket, and white tennis shoes. "Let's go."
"Alright," I said. My phone vibrated as we got in my car. "We have to stop by the Daily Planet first."
"As long as we get to hang out," said Alexis. "Just to get my mind off..."
"It's okay," I said as I parked the car. Alexis followed me up to the roof of the Daily Planet. "Here we are."
"Just what I was trying to avoid," said Alexis.
"I see you guys got Blondie's message too," said Oliver.
"And I wasn't going to come," I said. Dinah walked through the door. "Hey."
"Hey, thanks for coming," said Dinah. "I guess I need to eat a little crow, huh?" Oliver smiled. "Is it too late to ask for an apology?"
"Apology accepted," said Clark.
"I assume you stopped moonlighting for Lex," said Alexis.
"That won't be a problem," said Dinah. "I've decided to hanf up my fishnets." I was surprised. "I think I was out og my league. I'll just stick to being the work of justice. At least I can't hurt anyone over the airwaves."
"Well, as long as they're not subsonic," said Oliver. "Still, I gotta say, uhm, kind of seems like a waste."
"Besides, Oliver and his boys coyld always use a den mother," said Clark.
"I hear there's a position opened," said Alexis.
"You're always going to be part of the team," I said.
"I'm not much of a team player," said Dinah.
"You'll fit right in," said Oliver.
"What about you?" asked Dinah looking at Clark. "I'd say ricocheting bullets off your back earns you the secret handshake."
"Maybe someday," said Clark.
"How do you two fall into all of this?" asked Dinah.
"A federal badge can work in their favors," said Alexis.
"I'm just a techie," I said. "But I would love to work in the field."
"Come on," said Oliver. "There's a couple of people I want you to meet."
"So no one ever told you, you have lousy taste in women?" asked Dinah.
"Only some," said Oliver as they left through the door.
"Can I go home?" asked Alexis. "I'm ready to go."
"Yeah," I said. I drove Alexis back home. "Thanks for letting me live here."
"What? Wasn't being the girl next door working?" asked Alexis.
"Well, I love it, I do but the two hour drive don't help," I said. "I work at the Daily Planet and relocating here seemed to be the better option."
"Well, as a side job, who are you?" asked Alexis.
"Call me Snow Leopard," I said. "Don't worry about me."
"Mhm," said Alexis. "You're fierce." She smiled. "Good night."
"Good night," I said.
