Chap 13

MONTHS LATER

Brittany's POV

I was waiting in the brides room. "This day is finally here," I said. I walked to the door and it opened. Alexis and Oliver was standing at the alter but Clark wasn't. My smile faded and I looked around. I felt someone grab my hand and put it on their arm. I looked and it was Clark. We walked down the isle together. "Thank you."

"I'm always here for you," said Clark.

We started our vows. "I wanted these vows to be perfect but perfection is a hard thing to get your hands on. Life is meant to be a little messy. When it comes to true love, there's no limit," I said. "The general has always said: you only sign up if it's the only think you can ever imagine doing. You're my best friend, my home, and my true love. And I am yours and will be forever."

"I, Clark Kent, take you, Brittany Ruth, to be my companion forever. With you by my side, I will never be alone. On this day, I plan to spend the rest of my life with you," said Clark. "You've always believed in me and I believe in you. And when you believe in someone, it's not for a minute or just for now. It's forever."

Oliver handed me a ring. I was about to put it on Clark's finer. "No!" exclaimed Alexis as she hit my hand causing me to drop the ring. She looked at Oliver. "Oliver, what are —"

"Alexis, be careful," I said pulling her back.

Oliver looked at Clark. "Get everyone out of here now," said Clark.

"Everybody out of the chapel, quickly," said Alexis.

Alexis grabbed my hand but I got out of her grip and ran toward Clark and Oliver. Oliver pushed me and I hit the ground. I was out for a while because when I came to, I was at Alexis' place on the couch. "What happened?" I asked. The house shook. "And since when were there earthquakes in Metropolis?"

"There isn't," said Alexis. "There's an actual planet crashing into Earth."

She moved the curtain so I could see outside. "Oh my God," I said. "I gotta get back to the Daily Planet."

"Clark's talking to Jor-El in his ice fortress and Oliver..." Alexis stopped. "Honestly, I have no idea where Oliver is."

"I gotta change out of my wedding dress," I said.

"I gotta change out of the maid of honor dress," said Alexis.

"But you look so cute in that dress," I said.

"Yeah but to fight crime in this dress?" asked Alexis. "Not so cute."

"Crime?" I asked. "You just said an actual planet is crashing into Earth."

"A planet called Apokolips," said Alexis. "For all we know we could be marked with the Omega symbol. Oliver was." I sighed. "Now he's not because Clark has a pure heart. Now Apokolips is going to make Earth a home for the darkness. The Omega is a sign of corruption."

"Alexis, just stopped, get changed and go save the world as Black Raven," I said.

"I'm not going out as Black Raven," said Alexis. "Now you go change and go to the Daily Planet." She sighed. "Only Clark can stop that planet...if he learns to take flight today."

"Yeah, we'll rendevous at Oliver's after this," I said.
