Double Life...

Chap 7

Oliver's POV

"Me and you will go," I said. "Come on." I drove Alexis and I to the airport. We boarded the jet. "Okay."

"Oliver," said Alexis. "Private jet for all of this?" The plane started taking off. I sat down. "This is great." She got a bottle of champagne out of the ice bucket. "Nineteen sixty four."

"It's an original," I said. "It's from the private collection." She put it back into the bucket. I got it out and poured three glasses. Brittany walked out to us. "Glad you could make it." I handed each of them a glass. "To our hope in finding Clark."

"Yeah," said Alexis as we took a sip.

"Just stick with me and you'll be fine," I saud. We landed. "Let's go." We got off the jet and I started speaking Russian. Clark looked at us. "You got a problem with us? Is our presence here bothering you?"

"Yeah, it's starting to," said Clark.

"Starting to," I said laughing. I punched Clark. "Think again."

"What are you doing?" asked Clark.

"Just roll with it," I said. Clark put me to the ground and got up. "Get on that plane." We got on the plane and took off. "You okay, man?"

"Yeah," said Clark. "I'm fine." We sat down. "How does an ice fortress disappear into this air?"

"I feel like there's a punch line to the question," I said. I handed Clark something to drink and Clark looked at it. "It's good for you."

"It all must be part of my father's plan," said Clark. "It turns out, his idea of controlling me, was taking my powers away."

"It's better than Lex walking around with a remote control to a Clark-bot," I said.

Clark's POV

"Lex was there," I said. "Hd knows everything. He knows my secret."

"Well, Clark, Lex may be tenacious, but there's no way he survived that," said Oliver.

"I did," I said. "Without my abilities."

"After the avalanche, did you see anything?" asked Brittany.

"There was so much wind and snow, I could barely see two feet in front of me," I said. "I started hiking. I went as long as I could and then, next thing I know I woke up on a fishing boat in the middle of the Arctic Ocean."

"Clark, you could've died up there," said Oliver.

"I really screwed up," said Clark. "I took my eyes off Lex until it was too late. I've lost my friends, my powers." I looked at Clark. "Chloe's in DDS custody because of me."

"I've had an army of lawyers on it, and, uh, Chloe Sullivan was never arrested by the Department of Domestic Security," said Oliver.

"My tech analyst in Quantico didn't find her either," said Alexis.

"It was Lex," I said. "Jimmy betrayed him, so he went after Chloe."

"If Lex wanted to hide her, he's got a research compound in Montana called Black Creek," said Oliver. "It's the only facility we haven't hit yet." Oliver handed Alexis the file. "Check this out." Alexis looked at the file. "Unfortunately, no one has ever gone in has ever come out."

"We need to get her back," I said.

"The problem with that is both Dinah and AC went off the radar, looking for you," said Oliver. "And you're kind of...useless."

"With or without my powers, I'm not gonna let my friend rot in a LuthorCorp prison," I said.

"Neither and I," said Oluver as we started landing. "First, Alexis is getting off here at Metropolis with Brittany."

"Why?" asked Alexis.

"Just do as I say," said Oliver.

"And be careful," I said.

"Brittany and I will be at my place," said Alexis.

"We'll meet soon," I said.
