A small one shot about a situation where the reader has to share a drawer in the morgue with Doc! (set in the zunami episode).You just get in the door, and throw yourself onto the concrete floor. You gasp, out of breath and dehydrated. You listen to the buzzing of voices around you, and then notice the slamming on the door is increasing, and getting louder.
'Are you serious?' Warren asks, groaning.
'Why can't they leave us alone? Seriously, I bet we aren't that delicious,' Doc jokes.
You pull yourself over to a shelf and lean against it, frightened. 10k notices this and moves next to you.
'Are you okay?' he whispers.
'I'm just... scared.'
He nods.
Then all of a sudden the door isn't gonna hold any more.
Then, you have to run.
You sprint into the morgue and collapse again on the floor. You listen to the snarls and groans of zombies grow louder once again, and Warren conducting a plan.
'Okay, we're going to need to get into these drawers,' Warren concludes.
'W-wait... what?' you ask.
'I'm sorry, Y/N. It's the only option. Unless you want to stay out here.'
You shake your head firmly.
'Okay, Cassandra, get in.'
She grimaces, then lays onto the cool drawer. She waves us goodbye as Doc and Warren push her in. Then Otis, a man who flew in the door just as the zombies were approaching, gets in next.
'There isn't enough for all of us, is there?' You ask, shocked.
Warren shakes her head.
'Two of you are going to need to share.'
'I'm small,' you say. 'I could fit with anybody.'
'I'm small too,' 10k pipes up. 'We could go together.'
'Oh no, no no. Doc and Y/N will share.'
'Uh... okay,' you reply.
10k gets into his drawer, and the door is closed behind you.
Doc then gets onto the drawer, and moves onto his side, making room for you. You get in next to him, on your side as well. You can hear the slamming getting louder, and Warren talking to Murphy in a low voice.
Inside the drawer, it's dark, and not easy to breathe.
'Hey Doc,' You whisper.
'Yeah?' He answers.
'Did you ever think that you would end up in this situation?'
'No. At least, not sober.'
You chuckle quietly, and then the door bursts open. All you can hear is the snarls and growling of the zombies, and wonder if Warren is alright.
It would be awful to lose her too.
Then you hear Otis, exclaiming about overpowering them. You hear his gun go off, and his bloodcurdling shrieks that pierce your ears. You wouldn't forget about that in a hurry.
You begin to breathe heavily, panicking.
Doc hugs you, and reassures you.
'Everything's going to be fine.'
