Sunlight comes creeping in
10k woke up, the sunlight hitting his face. He blinked a few times then slowly lifted his head, looking at his surroundings. He was in some sort of forest; nothing that he could recognise. Trees reach the sky, the sun is streaming down on him and there is nobody nearby.
Illuminates our skin
10k stands up, brushing off the dust that the dry ground has covered his clothes in. He picks up his gun; raises it. Then he walks back to the truck, head hung in disappointment. He walks past the looks of sympathy; tear streaked faces and gets onto the back of it.
We watch the day go by
How did this happen? Why was he sleeping away from the group, isolated and surrounded by his own pain, memories and things that he could have done to save you?
You dance in front of him, laughing. The sun floods down onto you, making your hair glow and smile shine. The way that your eyes catch the light and sparkle like glitter. He smiles lovingly at the sight of you; moments like these are rare in the apocalypse. You turn to him and grab his hand. 'Dance with me!' You plead, laughing. He looks at you as if you're crazy. 'What? But we could get attacked any minute!' He protests. You pull on his hand and give him puppy eyes. He sighs and lets you lead him to a clearing.
Stories of what we did
10k snaps out his trance, the memory fading away. He doesn't want to think about your last day together - though joyful - it hurts him too much. Addy sits next to him, a tear rolling down her cheek. But he doesn't look at her, only keeps his gaze down.
'Do you ever wake up and feel like the apocalypse hasn't happened? Like, you open your eyes and smile, thinking of the world waiting for you. Until you fully awaken and realise that it will never be the same again?' You ask, looking into his eyes. He's surprised at this outburst; you're usually so positive. 'I do. I wish that the apocalypse hadn't happened,' He replies. You nod, understanding. 'When that happens to me, I think of how lucky I am to be alive. If the apocalypse hadn't have happened, we wouldn't be together.'
It made me think of you
'You're not alone, 10k. We all miss her and wish that she was with us. But there isn't anything that we can do,' Addy says quietly, making his head snap up to look at her. Across the truck bed, Doc nods in agreement. 'She was the most positive person that I've ever met. I remember the time that we stopped off at that house in Philadelphia. The place was a wreck, but she cheered us all up. Then, she suggested hide and seek, she hid in-' He gets interrupted by 10k's yell.
It made me think of you
'Don't talk about her.' The two look shocked at his outburst, but stop speaking. 10k puts his head down once again, angry at himself for what just happened.
'Have you ever danced before?' She asks, grinning widely. 10k shakes his head. 'I'll teach you. I think that you'll be good at it.' He laughs at this. 'How can you tell?' He asks. She smiles. 'Because I believe in you. Plus, you have the best dance teacher in the apocalypse.' He laughs. 'Who would that be?' He teases. She rolls her eyes and yells, 'Me! Now, let me show you.' She placed his hands in the right places, one on her waist and the other in one of hers. Then she guides him and they dance slowly, moving together and then her twirls her and she spins, gracefully spinning away from him...
Under a trillion stars
10k taps on the side of the truck, making Warren pull the truck over onto the side of the road. He jumps out and slings his gun over his shoulder, walking over to the driver's window. She rolls it down. 'I'm going. I have to see if she's alive, I just have to.' Warren tries to protest but he cuts her off. 'You think it's crazy, that she's dead. But, I just have to see for myself.' Warren nods at this. 'I was going to say good luck. I hope to see you again, 10.' 10k nods. 'You will. And her.'
We danced on top of cars
Everybody gets out of the truck, ready to bid farewell to 10k. It was his choice; he needed to know. He hugs Addy tightly as she whispers a goodbye to him, the same with Mack and Cassandra. Vasquez shakes his hand and nods, Warren smiles at him. Doc is the hardest person to say goodbye to. He embraces him tightly, holding on for as long as he can before Doc pulls away. 'Good luck, my son. Find her and come back to me.' 10k nods. Then he walks away from the truck, the road and goes to find his girl.

So far from where we are
10k turned around for a minute, to pick up his gun. When he turned back around, you were gone. He screamed your name, cried, calling out for you. Then he ran, looked everywhere until night had fallen. The only things around were zombies, ones with fresh blood on their faces. He screamed in anger and grabbed his knife, stabbing them all in a haze of rage. Then he fell to his knees, sobbing his heart out.
They made me think of you
10k now has spent the past two and a bit months searching for you, or your walking corpse. He has long since passed the creek where you had share your last moment together. Now, he continues to walk through trees, making his way through the forests and deserted ground, killing the few straggling zombies in his path.
They made me think of you
10k suddenly stops in his tracks, spotting a light in the distance. It's coming from the top of a large hill, from what looks to be a dark cave. The sun is setting and it will soon be dark, so 10k sprints over to the bottom of the hill, hiking up it as fast as he can.
Oh, lights go down
10k reaches the top, breathing heavily. The light is gone and he can hear footsteps coming from the cave. A figure comes out, weapon raised. Then the face of the person is revealed and they drop their weapon, beginning to cry. 10k drops his gun and opens his gun, the person leaping into his arms. He holds you tight, crying and laughing with you.
In the moment we're lost and found
You walk hand in hand, grinning as wide as you possibly could. Everything was explained; happiness is in the air as 10k now has the love of his life back. They reach the end of the dense forest, legs aching.
And I just wanna be by your side
Then, you spot it. The signature black truck, parked at the edge of the road. People begin to get out, one bending down to look at a front tyre. You run, 10k running with you and you reach them. They shriek in happiness as you all embrace and reunite.
We'd remember tonight
Now, you're both back and safe with your apocalyptic family. And now that 10k's got you, he's not letting go. And you don't mind.
For the rest of our lives.
