Part 2 to "The rest of my life..." 😁

Your POV
It's been a few weeks since the engagement and we decided to tell our families.
We went to Toms family's house. We parked outside it.
I'm nervous to tell them about the engagement.
Tom sees this and grabs my hand and squeezes it reassuringly.
I look over at him and smile.
For all they know I'm still his girlfriend.

We get out of the car and we start walking hand  in hand to the house.
Tom rings the doorbell while I'm still standing there very nervous.
Tom squeezes my hand again.
I look at him and smile.
Nikki answers the door.
"Tom! Y/n! Great to see you again! Please come in dinner will be ready in a moment." She says and lets us in.
"Thank you." I say and give her a hug.
Then Tom does the same.
We take our coats and shoes off.
We place the coats on the coat rack while we place our shoes on their designated area on the floor.
We head over to the living room with Nikki.
"Dinner will be ready in a few." She says.
"Do you need help with anything?" I ask her
"No. It's fine, thank you for asking though sweetheart." She says smiling and then walks back into the kitchen.

Paddy then comes running up to Tom.
Then he tackles him to the floor.
I gasp. The laugh hysterically.
"That was great!" I exclaim in between laughs.
"Dang. Padster. You could play football." He says still on the floor.
"American Football." I say
"Yup." Tom says
Paddy helps his brother up and gives me a hug.
"Hey Pads!" I say and hug him back.
"Hey Y/n!" He says letting go.
Then he hugs Tom.

Sam and Harry come in and we all start talking.
"Dinners ready!" Nikki exclaims from the kitchen.
We all go to the dining room and sit down.

Then we start eating, having a nice conversation with one another.
Until Tom decided to start telling them.
He grabs my hand under the table and looks at me.
I stare into his eyes and nod.
He then smiles and nods back.
"We have something to tell you." Tom says
They all look at us confused.
"What is is movie star?" Dominic asks
"Is something wrong?" Sam asks
I shake my head no at Sam. He just nods.

"I finally proposed." Tom says
They all get excited.
"You obviously said yes right Y/n?!" Harry exclaims.
I decide to play a trick on them.
"No... I didn't..." I say
They all stop.
"WHAT?!" They ask exclaim.
Then I start laughing.
"Of course I said yes. I was just playing a small prank on you." I say smiling widely.
"YAY!" Paddy says
"Congratulations you two." Nikki says.
"Congratulations!" They all say.
The rest of the dinner was everyone just talking about our engagement.

We finally finished eating and I help Nikki with the dishes.
"So. Tom finally asked." She says smiling.
"Yeah. It was quite unexpected. But I'm very happy he did. I really love him." I say.
"Take care of him ok? He can be a handful sometimes." She says and laughs.
"Of course. And yeah. He can be a handful sometimes." I say and laugh along with her.
We finished washing and drying the dishes and went back to the living room.
During dinner we decided to call my parents and tell them.

I took my laptop out of my bag (backpack).
I got on Skype and called my parents.
Tom and I were in front of the screen while his family were behind us somewhere where they could see the screen, but my parents couldn't.
My brother was probably there too since he probably just got out of school. He was now a senior in high school. And my youngest sister was a freshman in high school.

They answered the call and my parents Andy siblings faces popped up on screen.
"Hey Y/n!" They all exclaim.
"Hey guys!" I exclaim.
"Hi Tom!" They all say.
"Hi!" He says waving.
"How are you guys?" I ask
"We're doing great sweetie. Your brother got a scholarship!" Dad says
"Wow! No way! Congratulations Joseph!" I say

"Thanks!" He says
"How are you Lizzie?" I ask
"Great! High school is going great so far!" She says smiling.
"Tom and I have to tell you guys something." I say
"We're engaged!" We exclaim at the same time.
They all scream.
Lizzie jumps up and down.
Joseph is running around the house,
Mom and Dad are just holding each other screaming.
After they celebrated, and calmed down, they all came back on screen and congratulated us.
"Where will the wedding be?" Mom asks
"We don't know yet mom." I say
"Tom." Dad says
"Yes Mr. Y/l/n?" Tom asks
"Take care of her alright?" He asks smiling.
"Of course sir." Tom says smiling.
"Honey, we have to go, Lizzie has her football game." Mom says

"Lizzie! You got on the team?!" I exclaim excitedly.
"Yeah!" She exclaims.
"That's amazing! Congratulations!" I say
"Thanks sis!" She says
"Love you guys!" I say
"Love you too!" They all reply
I end the call.

I close my laptop and put it back in my bag.
"Darling we have to go." He whispers to me
"Ok." I whisper back.
"Dinner was amazing mom." Tom says
"It was great Nikki." I say and smile.
"Thank you. Congratulations again." She says and smiles.
We hugged everyone. Thanked them, and then left to go back to our house.

We got back home and it was about 10:22 pm when we got back.
I got out of my shoes and went upstairs immediately.
Tom followed suit.
I changed out of my dress in the bathroom and got in my pajamas.
I washed my face and brushed my teeth.
After I finished I went back to Tom and I's bedroom, I saw Tom was sitting on the bed cross legged and on his phone.
He was smiling that adorable smile of his.
Feeling my presence, he looked up from his phone and looked at me smiling widely. Then he went back to looking at his phone.
I sat next to him.
He showed me what he was looking at on his phone and it was a selfie of the two of us.
I smiled at it and then smiled even wider at Tom.
"That went better than expected." I say
"Yeah, it did." He replies still smiling.
He puts his phone down behind him on the bed and then kisses me tenderly. He cups the back of my neck while the other arm wraps around my waist.
I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss back.

We break away for air, but I then rest my forehead on his.
"I love you so much Bub." I say
"I love you too cookie." He says

We then let go of each other to go to sleep.
We had to go to the airport tomorrow to go the Ellen show.

There will be a backstory to "Bub" and "Cookie" 😂. And that  will be a part 3 to this.😁
