Previously on Daisy and Destiny...

But I'm really tired. Tired of thinking about everything, and hiding from everything, and tired of moving. I just want to sleep.

So without even realizing...

I fall asleep peacefully in Destiny's arms.

==============

When I wake up, I'm not outside.

I'm in a pretty room. It's pretty much all light blue-themed with some teal and white.

I'm on a white bed with white blankets that have beautiful teal swirl patterns on the blankets.

I'm laying in the middle of the bed, curled up with my cat tail around my front paws. I'm still in my cat form.

This must be Destiny's bedroom. I think as I lift my head up and look around the bedroom.

Destiny walks in.

"Hey," she says. "You're finally awake. My dad is making dinner. It's going to be finished soon. He's a really good cook, and makes the best barbecue. That's what we're having tonight."

"Nice," I say. "So... when are we going back to school?"

Destiny sighs a little. "We're not going back to that school. We can't, now that the secret is out. We won't go to school until we get accepted into a college together and that school year starts. We won't be going to the same college as everyone else at our old school."

I smile to myself a little, looking down, relieved that I won't have to go to a school with the same bullies and people who whisper about me. Destiny looks at me from where she is, to see my reaction to what she just said.

"I'm sorry," she says, probably thinking that I must be upset. "I know you might've had some friends there."

"I didn't. Only you."

"Ok," she says. She's looking away from me, but I can tell she's smiling a lot. She knows how special she is to me.

"So..," I say. "When can I see my parents again?"

"They'll come tonight for dinner."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Wait... it's nighttime already? How long did I sleep for?"

"Like... three hours. It's only six o'clock."

"Oh."

"Girls!" someone calls from downstairs. It sounds like Destiny's mom. "It's dinnertime!"

"Ok!" Destiny yells back. She gets up from her computer, which she was writing on while we were talking. When she's almost out the doorway, she says:

"Come on. Just shake your head and think of your human/cat form. Or you're human form. You'll transform back. Change back into whichever you want. I'll meet you at the dinner table. Just walk down the stairs and it'll be to your left."

"Thanks, Destiny."

"For what?"

"Everything."

"No problem," she says, then walks down the stairs.

When I shake my head and think of my human/cat form, I turn back. I already miss my cat form.

I walk out of the door, kind of jogging with my head a bit down. Suddenly, I bump into someone. I fall backwards onto the floor.

"I'm so sorry," says a boy's voice, helping me up. It doesn't sound like it could be one of Destiny's parents.

When I look at the guy, I find out that he kind of looks like a teenager. Maybe a young adult? Probably. He looks like he's in college.
