Previously on Daisy and Destiny....

As you wishhhhhh... the voice from our dreams says.

We all look around for the creature from our dreams, until Ryan whispers:

"...Daisy?"

=====================

Me and Destiny look at Ryan. He looks surprised... and kind of scared.

"Ryan, what's wrong?" Destiny whispers walking over to Ryan.

"It's Daisy..," Ryan whispers.

"Oh my gosh..," Destiny says. When I look at her I see tears in her eyes.

"Destiny, what's wrong?" I ask her.

Destiny points to what she and Ryan are looking at. I can't really see in the dark, but I can see the silhouette of an animal...

A cat.

A cat! Daisy! Ryan and Destiny's old cat, Daisy! The one they gave away.

"This makes sense," Destiny says, looking at the prophecy.

"The creature who was a friend
Is not who she seems," Destiny reads. "That's Daisy, our old cat! To start the first part of the quest,
follow your dreams. We did what our dreams said. We followed our dreams to the middle of the forest.
The people who have the same dream, will be the people you take on your team. We all had the same dream, so we all headed to the forest together. To complete the quest you must not be lazy, to defeat the villain that you once called Daisy. So..."

"We have to defeat... Daisy, our cat..," Ryan mumbled, sounding sad. "But how?"

"I don't know," Destiny says. "It doesn't say."

"Are you sure?" Ryan asks. He takes the prophecy from Destiny and looks all over the page.

"Wait," he says after a few minutes. "I think I found the answer."

"What?" said Destiny, looking over Ryan's shoulder.

"At the bottom of the page," Ryan pointed. "There's a message."

"The back of the page reveals the answer to the one who feels trapped in an invisible cage," Destiny reads.

Ryan turns the prophecy over. "There's nothing on the back."

I look over Ryan's shoulder. I'm confused, There's writing on the back. Why are they saying there isn't?

"There's writing on the back," I say. They look at me, confused. Ryan's eyes suddenly widen.

"Wait, so you can read the back of the prophecy and we can't!" Ryan says. "Oh.. you're.... the one who feels trapped in an invisible cage?"

"I guess," I mumble.

They both stare at me.

Trying to ignore their stares, I read the back of the prophecy.

"It says... to defeat the villain you must let go of all the feelings you still hold."

"So we just, don't feel anything for a moment," Destiny says. "Everyone just take a deep breath and relax."

I take a deep breath and relax. I don't really feel anything. I just feel calm I guess.

Nothing happens to the cat.

"We all let go of our feelings for a while... why isn't anything happening?" Destiny asks after a minute.

Fools. The cat said. Destiny and Ryan... you have to let go of the feelings you had for me. You need to move on from me.

"How can we just move on completely?" Ryan asked, sounding angry. "We loved you, we can't just move on that easily."

Ryan had tears in his eyes. "And so what if we don't defeat you? What will happen?"

Nothing. Said the cat. But, Ryan, if you don't defeat me you will continue feeling sad and lonely every time you think of me. You will continue distancing yourself from people. And you'll never be able to tell the girl you love how you feel about her.

What? Girl he loves? Is that me? I blush slightly.

Ryan looks down, crying.

"But you meant so much to me..," Ryan says to the cat. "You were my best friend..."

You have to move on.

"And what happens to you? If we defeat you?" Ryan asks.

I'll continue to live with my humans. You'll feel sad for a while, that's a part of moving on. But you won't distance yourself from people anymore, you won't be as sad and introverted as you used to be. You can tell the girl you love how you feel... and then she'll be everything to you. I know it...

"Hmph," Ryan says sadly. "She thinks of me as a friend."

I doubt that. The cat says. Now. Just move on. You'll feel better.

"How do I move on?" Ryan asks.

Just... accept the fact that I live with new humans. That I won't really ever see you again. Remember all the times we spent together, and then you can make new memories in the future.

"Okay..," Ryan says, still crying. He sighs.

And after a few minutes, the cat disappears. The silhouette of the cat is gone. It's just us three in a dark forest.

All I can hear is Ryan's crying and Destiny comforting him. I go up to them and hug Ryan. He hugs me back.

Then we all head home.
