This is so boring. All there is to do here is eat, sleep and sorta spar with your team. Since I don't sleep as much as the rest I have a lot more free time. We aren't supposed to leave the tower until the five days of being in the Forest of Death ends.
"So glad it's the last day here! Then I can sleep in an actual bed." Uda says loudly, she ignores the heads that turn in her direction, "when do you think they will come tell us it's done?"
I spot a higher ranked ninja, "well, I think your question is just about to answered."
"Everyone listen up!" He yells loudly, "follow me down stairs to the arena, the hokage has something to announce." The bottom of the tower had a big open arena and then the upper levels hold a bunch of different rooms.
Preliminaries? Well I guess you gotta do what you gotta do when there are just way too many people. I knew I sensed some strong ones, Naruto's speech sure did keep more people in the second part of the chunin exams too. Many of those who had just got to the tower were in rage, some even deciding to drop out completely.
We all cleared the arena, heading to the balcony that overlooked it. The names would appear randomly on the screen, telling us who we'd be up against.
Shadow vs Ruka Ookami. I was up first.
I quickly appear down on the floor of the arena, across from the younger girl. Ookami? A family member of Chi's.
"So you're from the Ookami clan, huh?" I ask even though I knew the answer.

She grinned, as if she saw me as a scared, weak opponent, "yeah, what about it? Getting scared?" She taunts.
"Nope," I reply, popping the p, "I've fought people stronger than you." Which I could say with confidence. Her chakra wasn't very defined.
"Oh yeah? Well, guess what, I bet you haven't fought a Ookami. Even the little kids in our clan could tear you up." She sneers.
"You may begin!" The guy that held the preliminaries yells out. As soon as he said that the girl sprungs from the ground transforming into a black wolf and charges at me.
"Hmm it seems that her wolf form is bigger than yours." Shadow smile as he side step her.
"What! That's not possible, I'm the alpha female! Who is she!?!" She screeches, my ears ring, her anger will cause her to lose. She doesn't calm herself down to think about the situation. It's clear now who she is.
I ignore the whispers that had begun and focus on dodging her, knocking her down, making her angrier. Soon enough I had her chained down to the ground with her own shadow. Of course I had to get her where the lights above wouldn't shine so bright.
"I win." I tell her, knocking her out with a hit to the back of the neck, causing her transform back.
I could hear the talk about how I used shadows, it made me happy how confused they were.
"You proud of me?" I appear behind Chi whispering in her ear, "I won against your little sister, the one who is supposedly stronger than you."
"They had her grow up to believe that since she is the 'alpha female' she is the strongest. In reality just because I was a late shifter doesn't mean she is the alpha female, I am still the alpha female," she pauses, "and why would I be proud of you for winning against her?" Before I could respond the Naruto boy comes over.
"Who's he?" He asks pointing at me, I lean against the rail.
"You know it's not polite to point at people you don't know," I tell him, "and so you know, I'm her......big bro!" I yell launching myself at her, causing Naruto to move away from her. She side steps me and going over to Naruto, I frown, it backfired. He may seem like a good kid, but with that thing within him I couldn't know for sure.
"Why are you so mean Chi-chan?" I ask getting back up.
"Because you do things like that." She says.
"You have a big brother? That's so cool! But he doesn't really look like you..." Naruto trails off.
"That's because he isn't my brother, I have no brothers, well that I know of." She tells him.
"Oh. Hey, did you see me beat Kiba?! I sure kicked his butt, believe it!" He shouts and I drone out their voices, watching the boy. The seal seemed different from earlier and I couldn't figure out why.
The fights finished way quicker then I thought they would, leaving a good number of genin for the final round of the chunin exams.
