"Shadow?" Sota pokes his head out of the kitchen when I walk into the house, "I thought you were going to be gone longer. Aka-sama and Chi left yesterday to the Leaf Village."
"Oh, ok." I slip on some house slippers, "I'll be in my room if you need me."
"Hey, before you go take these." He hands me a paper bag, "leftovers from yesterday. Sure, leftovers. The bag is warm and he has sugar on his check along with a fresh raspberry stain on his apron. After mumbling a thanking him I head up to my room, my mood rather low without Chi and Aka around. Maybe I should've stayed with Toto longer.

"I think you too should go visit Shadow, he hasn't come out of his room much at all since he got back." There was a pause of the muffled voice, "we are kind of getting worried." My vision goes black and then I feel a freezing cold hand on my forehead. I open my eyes a little, but it's so blurry that I can't make out who's hand is so cold.
"He's burning up!" Aka, "Chi go get Haru!" Why is her hand so cold? She should put some gloves on. I open my mouth to say something, but the next moment I open my eyes I can feel a cool sheet on me and a wet cloth on my forehead.
My mother, she was leaning over me. Her long white hair and red eyes sparkled in the light hanging from the ceiling, though the whole picture was a bit blurry.
"Mom...." I mumble out before the image of my mom in front of me changes to Aka. Hallucination? Once again her hand feels like ice against my skin, making me drink more water. Wow, how much water was that? I feel like my throat is still so dry and my skin is still burning.
"Haru, can get another cold sheet?" Rusling, "Chi, be a dear and get me some soup, I'm getting a bit hungry."
"He's cooling down, slowly, but it's better then nothing." Who is that? Once again I open my eyes a little, I don't remember shutting them. The light on the ceiling is off now, but it's still just as bright in the room. How much time has passed?

I don't remember where they took me, but wherever it was, it helped a lot. I feel healthier and stronger then before my fever, a fever that lasted almost two weeks from what they told me.
Kuro is gone now though, I guess he was never supposed to be a sorta living thing outside of my body. Him not being apart of me caused me to become weaker with time, because he was sucking part of me to live.
Although him growing stronger separate from me as I also grew stronger made me even more stronger together. I glance down at my arm, black shadows creep around my arms, covering them and becoming sharp blades, my eyes glowing. What he could do, I can do.
