Cold, windy November. Snow dusted ground and houses, well, not dusted, more like snow dumped on everything in sight. What a month to be born.
"Come on Sota!" I hear him stumble around in his room as I slip on a poofy jacket over my favorite hoodie.
"I'm almost dressed!"

Sota rushes into the room before I can stop him, "I'm here!" The newly born baby starts to cry out, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to." He starts to frantically apologize.
Ken takes Tsukiko and rocks her side to side, calming her down, "What? I had two younger siblings." Ouch, that was a sad reminder.
"Sota, happy 20th birthday, I guess little Tsukiko wanted to have the same birthday as one of her uncle." Kiku smiles at a still sorry Sota as Ken hands her the baby to eat.
"She wanted to have a winter birthday, first Chi in October and now both Sota and her today in November." Ken laughs. Yeah and then there's me in the summer.
"She's so cute, who helped deliver her?" Sota asks as he squats beside her.
"Haru did, he's actually a really good medic." Kiku tells him. Well he did help with my fever and when people get wounded he helps, so I personally am not very surprised.
"Haru? All these years and I didn't know that little dude knew how to deliver a baby." Sota laughs.
"Can I hold her?" We all could see how eager Aka was to hold the littlest of the ookami. Kiku nods with a smile, holding out the now sleeping baby.
"We've lost family and friends, but we have created more with stronger bonds."She tells everyone once Haru walks through the door with Momoko and Taro.
"I couldn't have said it better." Ken nods his head. We stayed with Kiku and Tsukiko until Haru shooed everyone out so that Kiku could sleep. I had mostly stayed in the corner not saying anything. I did get to hold her though, so small and fragile. Big blue eyes that just stare into your soul with curiosity and wonder. Eyes that if you weren't careful could make you surrender any fight.
"Hey Sota," he hums in response, placing fresh food onto a tray, "your birthday buddy is going to have everyone wrapped very tightly around her little finger."
He looks up, "I think she already does." A smile appears, "Well I'm going to go give Kiku a well deserved breakfast after bringing life to a new member of our clan."
"Ken helped with the process!" I yell out as I head up to my room and he leaves out the door. I can hear it now, if Ken was here to hear our little conversation he'd yell, "Damn right I did!''
