Shadow (book 3)

Pranking and the last round

        "Gosh at a first glance this boy seems to only have ramen." I mutter under my breath. I could hear Naruto's snores from his bedroom, unaware of the intruder in his kitchen. I wrinkle my nose at the smell of old milk and dirty clothes.
        I take a scroll out of my bag and start placing the ramen cups into it. Once they were all gone I place the scroll back into my bag, I turn when I hear Naruto move around in his room, I smirk and climb back out the open window.
       My round has ended not that long ago, once again I had used the shadows against them, trapping them. Since Chi's sister found me she has been asking me a ton of questions, demanding for me to answer.
      I ignore her and just focus on other things, but Chi seems to be getting more and more annoyed with her
     "Just stop asking him, Ruka." Chi tells her, her annoyance clear in her voice.
      "I can ask him anything I want. I'm a princess, so he has to listen to me." Ruka says making Chi clench her fists, my eye twitches.
     "I don't care if you're the most powerful person on this planet, just shut up or I will make you." Chi growls out at her, her eyes glowing a deadly shade of red and her canines flashing just as deadly. I watch as Ruka shivers visibility, I turn back to the fight when we heard a scream.
      Sasuke was fighting Gaara, well not really fighting right now since Gaara was in a sand dome. The dome had a hole in the side, and Gaara was screaming about blood.
      The tailed beast. I have no clue which one he has sealed in him, but it doesn't seem like he'll be sealed for much longer. I quickly release the jutsu and catch Ruka as she starts following down. I place her on the floor and look around to see what I can do to help.
        "Let's get back to helping," chi faces me, "you go help the Hokage and I'll go after Gaara." She instructs.
         "Be careful, and don't do anything reckless." I tell her.
          "Oh, before you leave, I heard that you stole all Naruto's ramen and he had to go and buy more," she chuckles, "I had forgotten that you were going to mess with him." Soon after I left Naruto's window he had woken up only to find nothing.
           "Haha yeah, you should have heard him cry," I laugh, "anyway we should get back to work." With that I sink into the shadows.
            
~ Time skip ~

            The funeral for the Hokage is today. I felt terrible that I couldn't help him when Chi had put hope into me, to make sure that he didn't get killed.
        I wince as I bandage my side, a wound I had gotten trying to help. Going against old hokages and a snake person is actually very difficult.
        I hear barking and I snap my head up from placing my last few things into scrolls. Kira barks again impatiently.
          "Well let's go! Come on." I jump out the window and start running towards the gates.
           "We are here! Don't leave without us!" I yell out to her.                 
           "I wasn't leaving," she laughs, "here Kira." She clips a smaller bag onto her back.
               "Ok, let's go." She walks to the two guards, showed them the papers, I do the same. I grin and shake the rain from my hair.
