SHORT SUMMARY. In which a spoiled rich boy gets a splash of reality when he falls overboard.
PLOT. Mateó Almaraz was the boy who had it all, the brains, the looks, the money...you name it and he had it. Nineteen, nearly twenty years old, Mateó's parents decide its time to marry him off to the daughter of a company they'd been doing business with for years. Despite his better judgment and lack of enthusiasm at his arranged marriage, Mateó takes the idea with a false stride and does it for the sake of his money. Though, the night before his wedding, he leans upon the side of his yacht and asks for a sign which comes to him when he's knocked overboard. Waking up in Forks, Washington with no memory—not even knowing his own name—he's stuck in the dingy little town with no way out; though for some reason, looking into those cold brown eyes made him feel warm despite being sopping wet.
EXTRAS. So I grew up watching the original Overboard and it's one of the best movies I swear, I enjoyed the remake but not as much as the original version if I'm honest. I want to write this but let's face it, I have no time whatsoever. The faceclaim is up for discussion, you can change it but he has to remain Latino. Yes I'm aware Paul imprinted on Rebecca but it's up to you if you choose him as the love interest or Leah. Mateó is basically Joanna/Leonardo in this, he's a spoiled rich boy who's set up into an arranged marriage that he doesn't really want but goes through with because it's all about money in the end. The night before the wedding, he's really thinking it through and life gives him a sign by pushing him overboard, blah blah blah amnesia, then boom he meets his love interest who imprints on him. But the imprint doesn't change him as a person, he's still spoiled and rude but after spending time with the Tribe in La Push (since they offer to watch over him when Charlie can't) he grows as a person and falls in love. Let me explain something, they DO NOT have sex because he's not in the right state of mind due to his amnesia. Eventually his family finds him after spending a bunch of money (combined with the police reports sent out) and then his memory comes back and stuff happens involving his fiancé bullshit blah blah blah. Someone please write this hhhhh
