Grace sat up in bed, her hair sticking to the back of neck. Her body shook as she reached out for her phone, her breathing steadying.
Her finger hovered over Harry's contact as she sat there, her heart pounding and sweat beading from her forehead. She paused before pressing down on the name, the keypad showing on her screen.
"Grace?" he answered after the third ring, his voice groggy and deep.
"I.. I had a-"
"What happened are you okay?" he asked, the worry evident in his tone. She thought of how he would have just woken up, and how he would look now. Sleep was laced in his voice as he spoke, showing he definitely had just woke up.
"It's nothing, you should go back to sleep." She pulled the phone away from her ear and hung up the phone before laying down again. Sweat beaded along her forehead again as she lay still, the only noise in the night was her breathing.
She didn't want to become dependant on Harry. It made her feel childish, and even more small than she already felt. She could still feel for Harry, yet she wanted to be dependant, and rely on herself.
Her phone began to buzz beside her, startling her due to the silence.
"Hello?"
A loud chirpy voice broke through the speaker and she laughed at the realisation of who it was.
"Peter, what's up?"
"Oh good this is Grace. Mr Bucky took me to town to celebrate my birthday."
"It's your birthday?" she asked and he hiccupped loudly down the phone, making her laugh.
"Yes. In two weeks."
She laughed at his randomness, before pushing the covers away from her body.
"Two weeks? Why are you celebrating now?""Fun I guess. Mr Bucky likes dances and parties. So I think that's why I'm here."
"You're still there?"
"Yeah. I don't know where I am though."
"What do you mean?" she laughed and he shrugged before realising she couldn't see him.
"I don't know. It's somewhere by Indigo."
"Indigo?"
"Yeah! How did you know?"
"Well where's Bucky?"
"He's with Steve. They went to get a drink and I haven't seen them since."
She sighed before walking to the window and opening the curtains."It's almost 3am you know."
"Oh God. I have homework. I gotta get home."
"Peter, you're in college."
"No, I'm in indigo."
She rolled her eyes before sliding shoes on her feet. She pulled a jacket around her waist before walking to her bedroom door.
"Do you want me to come and get you?""It would be extremely helpful."
"Wait outside Indigo."
"Where's that?"
"Peter you said you were at Indigo."
"Oh yeah! Meet you there. Bye Grace!"
She grinned before putting the phone to her ear again, calling Harry's number.
"Look I know I told you to go back to sleep, and I'm probably waking you up for the second time, but I just need you to bare with me. Just this once I promise I won't be such a pain in the ass again I just need you to-"
