Nas

'What's this?' She asked. 'Is this some sort of sick joke?' Visibly angry.

'What? No!'

'Then?'

'I saw you at the hospital the other day and overhead what was going on.'

She kept silent.

'I know exactly how you feel' i added.

Silence.

'I been where you are'

Silence.

'Please just let me help you!'

'Who said i need help?' She retorted.

'We all need help!' I replied.

'I don't need you to do anything for me. Just leave me alone!'

I was about to reach out and wipe her tears when she slammed the door in my face. I stood there for an extra 5 minutes, speechless, thoughtless and (i wish i could've made it rhyme) with a broken heart.

I lay on my bed for hours.

Thinking.

Thinking..

Thinking...

What next?

What am i going to do?

What can i do?

What should i do?

I put my earpiece on and listened to some Alessia Cara. The music stopped. The phone vibrated. And my heart skipped a beat.

Meet me at our spot. Right now.

It was her. In a heartbeat i was dressed and walking as fast as i can to the bridge. My mind stripped of all thoughts the moment i saw her with her back turned to me. She turned to me.

'I'm sorry.' She said.

'It's okay.'

'No it's not okay. You were trying to help and i'..... A sob choking her out before she could complete the sentence.

'It's okay! Really!' I assured.

We stood in comfortable silence. Looking at each other. I'm afraid of taking the wrong step and ruining this sublime moment. But i take it anyway. Carefully.

'I missed you though!' She mutters.

'Yeah I'd miss my ass too if i was gone for weeks!' I replied sarcastically.

She didn't say anything, although the eye roll and smile did say a lot.
