The girl from the dance studio had been playing on my mind since I saw her through the door. Who is she?! My friends must've noticed my change in mood since they suggested to skip last class.
"Dude, I thought the teacher was going to cut me to pieces when we walked in late. I'm not going anywhere that isn't our class," I said with a laugh.
"Alright, if you say so," Dylan and Alex
said in unison, walking the opposite direction of me. I was going to class while they probably went to the small shopping centre near our school.
(Quick A/N; for those who don't know shopping centre is Australian for 'mall' or whatever.)
My last class went without a hitch, and school had finally ended. I walked out and straight to the dance studio, grabbing my bag that had my clothes that I dance in and a water bottle and the usual stuff.
As I was almost to the gates to start my journey to the studio, I crashed into someone. Going to apologise I looked at the person who I had collided with, only to swallow my apology and smirk.
Allison-freaking-Parker.
"Oh hey freak, how's your back? Wait, I don't actually care," I said, grabbing my phone and looking at the time.
3:07pm.
My team started at 3:30pm so I had time. I mentally rubbed my hands together while having an evil smile on my face. But I kept the smirk on my face, glancing down at the orange coloured shirt in her hand.
I chuckled quietly at her stupidity and walked off -mentally promising myself that I would become more evil when the time came but I didn't have time right now- heading towards the studio.
I got to the studio in a couple of minutes and pulled out my phone again. 3:26pm. I warmed up in our assigned practice room while I waited for the others to arrive.
My group did all types of dance, and that's what was really cool. Alex dances in my group too so I glanced around the room, looking at the people who just came in. There he was, chatting up Ashley -one of the girls in our group- while she twirled her hair around her finger. Typical Alex.
"Hey idiot!" I called to him, and he turned to me, knowing that I was talking about him because that was practically his name in my book- eh we're like brothers, he knows I'm only kidding- and he smirked. He excused himself and I rolled my eyes as he started to head towards me. We did one of those man-hug things and he greeted me back,
"Hey man, that prank today was epic," he said, referring to Allison. I smirked and agreed with him, though I can't take full credit, Brianna did a great job. Catching it all on video was the icing on the cake as I taped Allison's expression at the soup. Did I feel bad? Hell no.
As our coach walked in I prepared myself for whatever dance we had in store today. Coach Fraser was an awesome lady, she listened to everyone and let us be teenagers. No scolding us when we cursed while getting a step wrong, no yelling at us when we took our sweet time to cool down and get ready for our next dance. All-in-all, she was like a second mum to me.
"Alright everyone, who has seen or heard of Another Cinderella Story?" Fraser asked, looking around the class. I had watched it a while back because some of the dance moves were epic. A few of us raised our hands, including me. She looked around the room aprovingly, and spoke up.
"Well we are going to be learning the dance to 'Just That Girl', please warm up if you haven't done so already and get into a spot where there's a bit of space, just so no one gets hit in the face while learning the steps," she laughed.
