As I walked through the halls at school the next day, I had Chelsey, Skye, and Gracia guarding me while I ducked my head down. I froze as I heard Gracia mutter 'Oh, shit.' It must be serious because Gracia never swears. I looked up and I instantly regretted it as I looked into Zach's eyes. My friends huddled close around me and guided me away from Zach but we were stopped when Zach grabbed Skye's arm and moved her away from me so Zach could talk to me. I immediately glared at him and pulled Skye back to my side and continued to walk.

"C'mon! I just want to talk!" he cried.

"Go talk to my sister you asshole!" I retorted over my shoulder, not looking at him. I walked with my head down again until I smacked into a wall. A warm, strong, Lynx-smelling wall which I immediately realised as Beckett.

"Watch where you're going, nerd," I heard him growl. As he pushed past me I heard him mutter while looking at his phone,

"Ally, please answer your damn phone." I froze and looked back at him and pulled out my phone to see ten missed calls from Beckett and four messages from him.

Him: Ally, I didn't see you this morning, please tell me you're okay.

Him: Ally, please answer.

Him: Ally I'm freaking out, where are you?

Him: Al, I just arrived at school, do you want me to talk to Zach?

Just as I read the last message a new one came in.

Him: Ally I swear to god, please answer. Please...

I gulped and stared at my phone. When I didn't answer, my phone started to vibrate, he was calling. I gulped again and pressed 'answer'.

"Hello?" I asked with fake happiness.

"ALLY! Shit,oh god where are you? Are you okay? Are you hurt? Who are you with?" Beckett asked frantically. I looked behind me and found him staring wide-eyed at a wall and his chest heaving up and down while his friends tried to calm him down. I could hear him breathing heavily through the phone and I felt horrible for not checking my phone.

"Hey Beckett, I'm at school, I'm fine, not I'm not hurt and I'm with my friends."

I watched as Beckett sighed and leant against the wall he was staring at before.

"Ally, you fucking scared all of us, I thought you had gotten kidnapped and killed or something."

"I'm sorry, I really am, I just-" I was cut off by the bell ringing and I sighed.

"I'm sorry, I've gotta go to class, but I'm fine. Stop worrying about me."

"Ally, will you be home tonight?"

"Yeah."

"You can't sneak out again tonight. tonight we need to talk."

I froze. So he knows that I sneak out. well too bad.

"Fine.." I trailed off as I saw Beckett walk towards me. Shoot.

"Beckett, I- oh god, I've gotta go now, I'm serious, I'll see you later."

I watched as Beckett froze only a few steps away.

"Ally, what's wrong?"

"Nothing," I whispered so Beckett didn't notice that the girl he was talking to was five steps away from him. I hung up and watched as Beckett's eyes widened.

"Ally, Ally? ALLY!" he shouted into the phone, but I had already dropped my hand away from my ear and stood, staring at him through my glasses. I whispered so quietly that Beckett couldn't hear from where he was standing,
