💟Allison💟
"Ally? Honey it's Susan."
I sighed and went to the door to open it.
"Come in."
When Susan walked in, she sat on the chair that was situated at the desk while I sat on the bed.
"Ally I heard yelling coming from up here, what happened?"
"I was just frustrated about my homework and Beckett kept on talking to me so I told him to leave."
"Ally, I don't mean to be rude, but I heard what you were saying with your mother. You're always welcome to stay here-"
"Oh, no that won't be necessary, I'm looking up apartments at the moment actually."
"Do you need any money to rent a place?"
"No I'll be fine."
"Okay. Let me know if you need anything," Susan said with a warm smile. I nodded and she smiled again and got up to leave the room.
As she walked out of the room and shut the door, I went back to looking at apartments.
I didn't find anything good enough or cheap enough for what I wanted, but something finally caught my eye. A little apartment block that was five minutes away from the dance studio and also five minutes away from school so I could walk to both. I clicked on the pictures and found it was exactly what I was looking for. I booked for a tour on Saturday and then shut my computer down after finalising the details.
Maybe something in my life would finally be my decision.

Saturday rolled around and I was dressing in presentable clothing ready to meet the agent. As I headed downstairs and out the door after bidding goodbye to Beckett's parents, I walked down the sidewalk, directing myself around corners to find the street. As I walked up to the building I saw on my computer, I took a deep breath and went to meet the agent waiting on the steps.
"Are you Allison Parker?" The agent asked. I nodded in reply. The agent smiled at me and gestured for me to follow her inside. We got inside the elevator and the agent pressed the '5' button on the elevator. The elevator started to ascend and I looked around the interior of it. Quickly, we reached floor 5 and we stepped out, and the agent lead me to room 15. Pulling out the key, she pushed it in the lock and turned it, making the door swing open.
As we stepped inside the room, I was breath taken. It was amazing. I had only seen a few pictures on the internet but this was amazing. The agent showed me around and every room we came to, I fell in love with this place even more. As the agent showed me the last room and we walked to the front door, she asked me what I thought of it. Smiling, I looked at her and replied,
"I'll take it."

Walking home that Saturday afternoon, I felt partially free. I needed to get everything out of my room and out of that house to make me feel completely free. As I walked up the driveway of the Graham's home, I glanced at my house. Walking into the living room, I was greeted by Beckett and his family.
"Hey guys."
"Hey, how was it?" Susan asked.
"It was great. Thank you so much for having me here, but my stay here has come to an end."
"Oh, you got the place?" Beckett asked.
"Yeah, I move in tomorrow morning."
"Oh..."
"Ok well I'm gonna go..." I trailed off as I pointed to the stairs. I turned on my heel and trudged up the stairs as I heard the chatter of the Graham's family continue. Pushing open the bedroom door, I went to pack up the things I had brought over with me. Then I thought about my brother. What would he do? Tyler Parker was the only family member I had who cared about what I wanted. I immediately turned back around and walked down the stairs and announced that I was going to visit my brother. As I walked to my brother's friend's house, I thought about what I would say to him.

"You did what?!"
I had just told Tyler about the apartment and what I said to mum.
"Ty, I'm sorry, but I can't live there anymore."
"Please.. don't go.. stay."
"I'm sorry, I've already made the deal.."
"Take me with you."
"What? Ty, mum and dad would kill me if they found out you were gone too. They're already going to hate me when they find out that I wasn't lying when I said I was moving out. Ty, they actually love you, embrace it."
"They pretend like they do, but I can see they hate me because I'm always on your side."
"They don't hate you, they're just hurt that you chose me over them."
"Al, please.. take me with you. I can't be there without you. I'll do everything I can. I'll cook when I'm supposed to, I'll keep everything neat, I'll do anything you tell me to, just please don't make me live with them anymore." His voice broke and I could see he was getting upset. Truth be told I didn't want to leave him either, so, I knew I was going to cop it big time, but I said,
"Okay."
Tyler's face lit up with glee and he hugged me.
"Thank you."
"I'm going to the house tomorrow to get my stuff, I move into the apartment tomorrow morning. Whenever you want to move in, you let me know."
"Tomorrow, with you."
"You're sure?"
"Absolutely."
"Well okay. We're gonna get through this, okay?"
Tyler nodded and I hugged him again.
"I should get going, I'll come by tomorrow about 12:30 so you can get your stuff and say goodbye to your friend."
"Al, where exactly is this apartment?"
"Well, if you go down to the end of this street and turn left and walk past a few houses, the apartment's there."
"Oh, so we're still near school and that."
"Yeah."
"Don't worry, Al, everything will fall into place."
I smiled down at the twelve year old.
"I know kid, I know."
