The next two weeks passed by slowly. Beckett avoided me, and I couldn't catch his eye in school.

Tyler obviously noticed our change in mood and tried to get me to come out of my room and eat with them. Since that night, I had stayed in my room and gotten something when the guys weren't around. I had studied and done my homework and read the whole time, my music blasting into my ears through headphones, so I was shocked when Tyler had ripped them off my head and tried to drag my body downstairs, but I put up a good fight and managed to cling to my bed.

Now, Tyler pulled at my legs as a held on to the bed post.

"Get out of this room! For the past two weeks you've only been to school, then in your room the rest of the time. I miss my big sis."

The last sentence slapped me in the face. I had been ignoring my brother in fear of encountering Beckett.

"Let me go."

"What?"

"Tyler, I'm really sorry. The day you called a couple of weeks ago, when I was out with Beckett, we were about to kiss. Now it's really awkward between us, and he won't talk to me, so yeah."

"Holy shit. I ruined everything!"

"No, don't say that, it's okay."

"But I..."

"No."

"Well... Please come downstairs and eat something?"

"I... fine."

We trudged downstairs and I almost threw up at the sight. I felt like such a toy.

Beckett was there, with Brittany draped over him, and she was kissing the spot beneath his ear.

His eyes widened as he saw me, in my old tweety bird shirt and faded blue shorts. Brittany exclaimed in surprise at my presence.

"What in god's name are you doing in my boyfriend's house?" She spat.

"Well, your kind boyfriend here let me and my brother stay here temporarily. I'm not sticking around, only getting something to eat."

"Oh. Okay. Good." Then she went back to kissing Beckett. Tyler gave me a pleading look but I firmly shook my head. I was not sitting through that shit. I stalked into the kitchen and grabbed a muesli bar before retreating to my room. Placing my headphones on my head, I put the music on high and lay down on my bed, trying to sleep.

It was no use, and I laid awake the whole night. In the morning, I didn't eat, and I got ready for school and left. The whole day I avoided talking to anyone, or looking anywhere but the floor or my desk. The mistake I made? I looked up and saw Brittany and Beckett, and she was roaming her hands all over him, while he seemed to not even notice.

I looked down and continued on, bumping into someone.

Of course, it had to be Brittany.

"Hope we weren't too loud for you last night, Al. I mean, Beckett is really good in bed-"

"Brittany. I don't care who you fucked or when you did, I want to get through high school. So please, for one minute. Can you shut up and let me go?"

"You little bitch," she growled.

"I'm not the slut wrapped around someone like a koala on a eucalyptus tree." I heard her gasp as I smirked and pushed past them, going to my next class.

"Bitch," I heard her mutter.

Oh well.

I walked into my next class and sat down. I couldn't wait until this stupid day was over.
