Chapter 4

Maxon's pov
I felt like I was in heaven with her. That kiss it felt like we were back together. The way we were in the selection. I knew she would say yes. Somewhere in my heart a little Voice said she would agree. I felt genuinely happy and God's that feeling was wonderful.

Aspen's pov
I woke up groggily at the sound of my alarm. My eyes were unable to open. They were a little swollen because I cried like hell yesterday.  I teared up.
The worst thing was  what if America asks for a divorce. I knew she was living with me just for the sake of living. But she loved me right. The door burst open.
"Mom dad!!!!!" My kids screamed climbing on top of us.
I hugged bout of them
America did too. My lovely kids. I would never leave them.
"Morning . Wait outside. Daddy and mom have to talk." Mer said. They went whispering and closing the door.
"What's wrong Mer." I asked dreading each and every word she would say.
" Well ummm .....obviously Maxon ...uh...you know." She stalled. She could barely form a sentence.
"Maxon proposed me." She said closing her eyes . My heart stopped.
America's pov
I said it . I didn't know what else to do. He deserved better. The expression on his face looked as if somebody slapped him.
"I said yes. I would like to divorce you. I love Maxon." I said .
"Well I thought we would you know grow old together sipping champagne by the beach." He said crying and laughing at the same time. I put my hand on his shoulder.
" please." I pleaded
"If you can't think of me . At least think about the kids. Mer"
He said angrily. He got up and walked across the room in angry strides.
" I decided . Hope will stay with me and Quinn will stay with you." She said.Maybe you can come to the castle and live with us . I can give you a home once I marry him Aspen. Please I love him." I said years falling down my cheeks. He looked at me bewildered .
" Mom Dad." I saw Quinn and Hope standing by the doorside crying.
" No no.. ...." Aspen said hugging both of them.
" Why I thought you both were perfect. Remember the stories you told about how you met at the tree house." Quinn said sadly wiping her eyes. I walked up to them and kisses her forehead.
" But I was in the selection and I fell in love with the prince" I said.
"Don't leave me mom." She said.
" I won't never . I love you. I will come to visit you everyday. Hope will saty stay with me. But she would come too." I said smiling . She smiled at kissed my cheek.
Hope and Quinn went to there room. Aspen just stood there tears in his eyes. I hated to see him like this . But he needs to find his happily ever after too.
" I am sorry." I said hugging him. He didn't hug back. I didn't expect it anyway after whatever I had done to him.
He silently contacted the lawyer and we spent the whole day signing papers. Aspen didn't say a word . He signed the last paper and cried his eyes out right in front me.
" You should have told me before that I wasn't worthy . That I was just a  second option. A plan B . You made me feel tainted Mer. I don't know whom to kick. Myself or the world. You  replaced everything. And the worst thing is that I feel so damn  unwanted . " He said his voice thick with tears. Tears fell from my eyes and I felt a pain in my heart because this was gonna end.
"But you love him and if you are  happy I am too. Go . Love your life Mer." He said wiping his cheeks and putting on A smile. I kissed his cheek then Quinn's.  Hope and Quinn hugged each other.
" I will miss you Daddy." Hope said.
Aspen kneeled down and took her face between his palms.
" I will miss you too Darling. I love you. Take this." He said handing her a photo frame. Of us together when we had gone for a picnic.
I went and phoned Maxon. He arrived and it was the start of a new beginning a  new life. Aspen will always be there in my heart. He will always be there when I need him the most because he will always be my Hero.

Next update will be on Monday maybe. My exams are coming . Gotta study!!!!!!!!! But love you guys😘😘😘😘😘😘
