Chapter 19

Americas POV
After a few months.......

The sirens rang. Maxon grabbed my hand before we made pur way towards the nearest saferoom. I searched for Aspen's blonde head in the crowd but couldn't find it. I was terrified buy with Maxon's hand in mine everything seemed to go on in slow motion. He kissed me and we locked ourselves in the saferoom. He clutched me tight muttering comforting words in my ear as I fell asleep..

Aspens POV
So it was kind of my first time I was going in a rebel attack as a Northern rebel. After a few months of training, I was out here trying to find Gregory Illéa's diary. I searched frantically in the libraries trying to find a secret door or something. I had tied a mask over my mouth which only  left my hair and eyes exposed. Avery had gotten some blue eye contacts for me. Then I found some letters which were of the people who are going to be knocked down a caste by a flick of Maxon's finger. I resented him. Not just because he stole America from me but because of Daphne too. I folded the letters and put them into my pocket running away to our base camp which was underground.
"All I found were these. " I said thrusting the letter in Avery's hand.
"Woah. ..... Do you know what you found is very valuable. We can help this people. Our leader would love to meet you. "Avery said his mouth wide open due to shock.
"Ooooo.... Kay.... "I mumbled following him.
"Meet him.... Our leader.... Captain Winters. "Avery said.
Captain Winters turned his face towards me and I nearly died of shock.

Maxons POV

We got out of the saferoom and went back to the decoy rooms which were made just in case there was another rebel attack. America was crying hysterically because Aspen was nowhere to be found.
"Hey.... He would just appear out of thin air you know. Aspen style. "I said trying to cheer her up. She let out a small chuckle on my chest and I pulled her closer.
"Don't you think that.... Aspen and Daphne.... They deserve better..... I mean I have hurt Aspen so many times and all he said to me was. 'Aspen endlessly loves America. '"She said tears falling from her eyes. I wiped them away.
"Yes they do.... But I also know that you were the only girl I ever wanted and I love you America. "I whispered kissing her softly.
"I love you too." She replied laying her head on my chest.
Aspens POV(the Captain will blow your heads off😏😏)

"Mr... Mr... Singer. "I mumbled. How the hell os that possible. He was dead.  We buried him back in Carolina and how..
"You... Were. Dead. "I said looking at him. He came closer. His eyes just like America's.
"Well you are wrong Aspen. My fellow rebels here were also there and your mom replaced my body with some other and I lived. "He said chuckling.

She came out and hugged me. Ma was after all a Northern rebel.
"Welcome to our haven. "Ma said.
"Ma.... You are a rebel.... Oh my god. "I rubbed my forehead and took deep breaths
"Blonde hair really suits you Aspen."Captain winters aka Mr singer said.
"Can I have a quick little chat with aspen..... Alone. "He said. Ma left and we sat down.
"You married my daughter and then she left you didn't she. "He said bumping his shoulder with mine. I sighed.
"Please.... I can't talk about that. "I replied looking down and blushing.
"i knew you loved her since the day I first met you. "Mr singer said slapping me on my back. I laughed.
"Tell me how much you love her. ". He whispered.
"More than anything in the world. People hate me for loving her. They say its all a lie but that doesn't stop me. I miss her when I shouldn't be the one to miss her. I love her even when I am not the one who should. Maybe I should have given her a shot at life before. Even though she isn't with me now. I am glad that she was a part of my life." I said everything in one breathe and i was crying my eyes out now. Stop. Aspen. Its. Over. You want her to be happy so she is with him. You were only a stepping stone for her to get to him.

"Yep and I have new friends you know. Hate, despair, anxiety, regret. They are my best friends sir. "I replied raising my eyebrow.
"Looks like you need a drink boy. "He said smirking.
"I sure do. ". He took out some champagne and I held the glass in my hand.
"To lost love, new friends and hate. Cheers"He said clinking my glass with his. I laughed gulping it down. I really really liked her Dad. He understood me so good. Just like my dad. When. He. Left. Us. I sighed.
"Don't tell her that I am alive. She'll freak out. "Me Singer said warning me. I nodded my head.
"Yes Captain Winters. "I replied. He smiled and warmth grew in my heart. I went back to the castle.
"I thought I lost you again. "America said crying.
"I am kinda used to it. Its okay. You don't have to pretend that you actually are worried for me. "I replied coldly. Loving her from the distance os the best thing I could do.
"I am not pretending Aspen."She breathed out.
"Oh great then..... "I muttered sarcastically before walking away.

I would marry any person who would give me a button bracelet(Aspen❤😍) So I really really love aspen. I mean he is so good. I don't why the people were so fast to judge aspen for his mistakes but forgive Maxon for his. My sir says that one should never judge a person without listening to his/her story. I love aspen to the power infinity ❤❤😍😍😍💋💋💖💖my bae.
