Chapter 9 - Jaeden

I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN DAYS! SORRY! Super short chapter, I'm sorry... I've been having writer's block for the past few days, and I'm still kinda stuck, so please comment or private message me how you want the story to continue. I'll give you a shoutout for helping me too. I start school soon and I'm having to mentally prepare (lol) so I might not be updating as much. Thanks guys :)

Millie's POV

"Hey." Finn says, coming up to me, smiling. We were walking to breakfast, where we were going to eat at the waffle house. He puts his arm around me, making me blush. "Blu-" He gets interrupted by me putting my hand over his mouth to stop him from talking.

"Shoot, they're coming. Get your arm off." I say, removing Finn's arm from my shoulder.

"Did we just see what we think we think we saw?" Lilia asks.

"No. I was showing Finn what I want mystery boy to do when we meet." I lie.

"Hmm..." Lizzy says.

"So wait... You're meeting this guy?" Jaeden asks. I met him a in one of my classes this week and I invited him to hang out with our friend group, and we've been getting really close.

"I might..." I say, smiling.

"Oh." Jaeden says, kinda sadly. Weird...

We've been eating for a while, just talking and laughing. Jaeden seems a bit off today though. Like ever since I said anything about meeting mystery boy, he's just seemed a little off.

"I think we should tell them." I whisper to Finn.

"Now?" He asks.

"Yeah! They're all here, plus I kinda wanna kiss you." I giggle.

"I'm not opposed at all." He says.

"Order up!" A voice floats from the kitchen.

"I'll go get our food." Gaten says.

"Okay. After he comes back, let's tell them." I whisper to Finn, him nodding.

"Okay, here you go guys." Gaten says while passing out our waffles. Mine had bright red strawberries on it.

"YES THIS LOOKS SO FRICKEN GOOD!" Jack yells, causing us all to laugh.

"So guys. My mystery boy is here. Like right now. At the waffle house." I say.

"WHAT?" They all scream.

"WHO? WHERE? WHAT?!?!!?!!" Lizzy screams, pointing to some blond dude.

"That cute guy over there!?" Lilia asks.

"Nope." I say.

"Over there?" Lizzy asks, pointing to another guy.

"No. I'll give you a hint. He's in very close vicinity." I say.

"Ummmm... Dear God please don't let it be the waiter." Noah laughs.

"No!" I laugh. "Okay, last hint." I turn my head and give Finn a kiss.

"NO WAY!" Noah shouts.

"NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY!" Lilia shreeks.

"IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?" Lizzy asks.

"YOU GUYS ARE JOKING!" Gaten squeals.

"AHHHH!" Jack screams.

"Guys, calm down. It's true." Finn says, smiling.

"Um, I'll be right back..." Jaeden says.

We all tell him ok, then continue on with the conversation.

"So how did you find out!?" Lizzy asks.

"Well..." I say, holding out the L. "We kissed about a month ago, and then mystery boy had been texting me telling he needed to talk to me."

"HOLD ON! You kissed a month ago and didn't tell us!?" Jack says.

"Well duh." Finn says, leading everyone to laugh.

"Anyway, it had been like a week of him texting "mystery girl" , and then I messaged back, asking if he wanted to facetime." I explain.

"We were both nervous to facetime our mystery people, but when we picked up, the other person's face was on the phone and we both freaked out." Finn says.

"We've been dating for about 2 weeks." I say.

"But you've been tindering each other for 5 months!" Gaten says. I nod.

"Sadie and Caleb found out a week ago." I say.

"You didn't tell us first?" Lizzy asks.

"I've known them since I was 12, so yes." I explain.

"Plus, we knew you'd react like this." Finn laughs.

"Alright, well YAY! MY OTP!" Lilia exclaims.

"Hey, Millie?" Jaeden asks.

"Yeah?"

"Can I, uh, talk to you?" He asks. I nod, and walk over to my bed, and gesture for him to sit down.

"I have to ask Ms. Ryder if I can switch partners." He says.

"What why? I've been having so much fun being your partner." I explain.

"Okay, you're probably gonna hate me when I say this... Ever since you walked into class, I've- I've had a huge crush on you..." Jaeden admits.

"Oh. Okay. Well, thank you. That's really flattering, but-"

"No, I know... You're dating Finn. That's why I'm gonna try to switch partners. I don't want it to be awkward." He says.

"I'm sorry." I apologize.

"It's ok, but I'm gonna go." He says, I offer a hug, and he takes it, then proceeds to leave.

"What was that all about?" Finn asks, putting his arm around me as I sit down.

"Oh, Jaeden just- nevermind." I say.
