Drayton's POV.

My eyes slowly fluttered open and the first thing I noticed before my eyesight could have even focused, that I was tied to a chair.

As my vision focused, I barely saw anything, due to the only source of light being the light coming from an extremely annoying and crappy lightbulb hanging above us.

Wait, us?

As I looked more closely, I saw that K sat, passed out, tied up to a chair on my left and Blake was next to her; in a chair as well, with some pretty bad looking bruises on the right side of his face and if I'm not hallucinating more injuries on the poor boy, I think there is also a small amount of dried blood on the back of his head.

She had her hands cuffed to the chair, but they also chained her to the chair, for what I'm guessing is extra protection to our kidnappers.

Which they're definitely going to need, because when I get out of this chair, they're gonna have the worst nightmares for the rest of their lives. That is, if they survive.

No-one hurts someone I even remotely care about. No-one.

But where's Haze?

I heard some faint shuffling and quickly noticed that K and Blake were both back in this world.

K was the first to turn her head towards my direction and to notice me. she was about to say something, but Blake decided that it would be smart to tell the whole place that we were awake.

"K?! Drayton?!" Blake spoke loudly from his chair.

"Shut up Blake!" Me and K whisper-shouted at the boy.

"Next time look around before you decide to act like their personal alarm to tell them that we are awake and ready to be interrogated." She said the last word in the most contemptuous and sarcastic way I've ever heard a person talk.

"Well sorry but I don't have night vision installed in my head, unlike some people." He retorted just as sarcastically.

For a seventeen year old kid, he has a lot of guts to speak back to K. The only people that I've ever seen to do that and walk away alive were Chief, Me, Brooke and Christian before he turned out to be a traitorous asshole.

I couldn't see K's facial expression, but I could imagine her giving Blake a death glare.

"Well then, maybe you should train your skills a bit so that you don't get us all killed." She said right back.

"Well I'm sooooo sorry th-" He didn't get to finish his sentence because the door flung open and in walked the same girl, Jocelyn, Christian, Kendrid and Nathan along with another guy who looked to be in his late thirties.

As soon as they fully entered the room, I saw that the unknown guy was dragging a very badly beaten and cut Haze behind him. Haze was still conscious, but he looked like death.

"Haze!" Blake yelled as soon as he noticed his cousin being dragged by the back of his shirt collar.

K kept a blank face that didn't show any kind of emotion. She kept her eyes trained on Nathan and if you looked really close, the only thing visible in her sea green eyes was hate and a very contemptible look.

"Hi there K. We haven't seen each other in quite a while." Nathan said as he got closer to her. She stayed motionless in her seat without moving a muscle, as if she didn't have a care in the world.

"No reply? Well definitely get some answers out of you this time. Because for every wrong move Haze gets even more messed up." He said as he kept moving closer to her.
