Drayton's POV

The flight went on without too much trouble and soon enough we were in a car heading to the HQ.

K had explained the plan to us on the ride, which was pretty much just her going to meet her brother at some place he head suggested but of course she didn't tell location of it to the rest of us.

She said that she'll take someone with her, but she doesn't know who yet.

Nathan was being extremely annoying for the whole flight.

I was just getting to know the guy and he actually seemed like a good person, but of course all the ones that seem too good are the bad ones.

Plus he was being just a tad bit too suggestive with K.

Not that I care. Why would I care about that?

It just probably wasn't too nice to have someone you obviously hate say stuff like that to you.

I know I would have killed him if I was her.

But what has been bugging me since the whole basement scene was one simple question; were K and Nathan together? Or are they still and haven't broken it off since he 'died'?

She did seem to hate him. But not at The Division base...

Back there she seemed to actually somewhat have a tiny spec of trust for him.

Whatever. It's none of my business.

Besides it the tiny spec seems to be drowned by despise for the guy.

We stepped through the doors of the at the headquarters and everyone seemed to glue their eyes on to us.

Usually everybody just glanced at the arriving people and don't give them too much attention but now it was as if every single person in the lobby was staring at our group.

"Okay, it's okay, we'll just go to our apartment in peace without anyone ripping out our spine, based on those looks." I mumbled so that only our team could hear me.

"Yeah. Let's do that" K mumbled in response. And if I actually looked for it i could hear some nervousness in her tone.

Well, there's a first time for everything.

We briskly walked past everyone to the elevator and only when the elevator doors closed, did the rest of The Agency agents avert their eyes from us.

"What the hell was that all about?" Brett asked in the same tone K and I had earlier spoken in. I glanced in his direction, he was standing next to Nathan and Brooke. His and Brookes hands were interweaved, which quickly caught my attention, but soon Nathan caught my attention. Not that he was doing anything, but the fact that he was being uncharacteristically quiet. He just had a ghost of a smirk on his face and that combined with his silence was unnerving.

"I'm not exactly sure, but I have a hunch" K said but said the last part in almost a whisper, probably just to herself, but I was able to hear her since I was standing right beside her in front of the elevator doors, waiting for them to open.

As if on que, the elevator let out the usual 'ding' and the doors opened, revealing the familiar corridor, preventing me from having a chance to question her earlier whisper-like words.

It's probably for the best to ask her in private anyways. I was kind of getting tired of being left out all the time on these kinds of things, because Christian had the exact same nervous but thoughtful look covering his face as K.
