"This is the most uncomfortable situation I've been in." I muttered. We lay in a single bed, completely squished together. I enjoyed my space so this was not the ideal situation for me.

"It could be worse." Josh proclaimed, glancing at me. I scoffed loudly, shaking my head in disagreement.

"How? I'm all squished up next to you."

"It could be someone else." Josh winked, teasing me. I rolled my eyes. We both knew that wasn't going to happen, at least not any time soon at any rate. I was too head over heels for Josh to be able to think of anyone else and he knew it, everyone knew it. It was obvious.

"Well," I spoke, sitting up. "I intend to get a little drunker."

"Just a little?" Josh asked, knowing a little for me meant quite a lot. I was a complete lightweight in comparison to Josh, who had to take quite a lot down before even feelings tipsy.

We can't let Hugh's party go to waste." I told him, nodding.

Josh frowned, "It's only been an hour, Matilda. I doubt they'd notice we were gone.." He pleaded in an attempt to make me stay. I shook my head, sticking to my guns. I could be quite determined when I wanted to be.

"I need a drink after all that." I spoke, insisting.

"I bet you do." He flirted. I laughed it off and got up, taking my cup with me.

"Kissing you takes quite a bit out of me, it seems." I spoke. "Do you want anything?" I asked, edging towards the door. Josh shook his head to respond before speaking once more,

"Come back quickly or I'll be heartbroken."

"You're such a sop." I grinned, giggling to myself as I moved into the hallway. I walked forwards but came to an abrupt stop in the form of Jeremy. He was practically beaming, a wide smirk across his face. "That smirk looks familiar."

"Hugh's just glad you used the spare bedroom." He spoke, his smirk only getting wider.

"We didn't do anything, Jeremy. I don't think kissing my boyfriend is cause for concern."

"You were in there for an hour, Matilda. You can't have just spent an hour doing that."

"I disagree!" I exclaimed, raising my eyebrows in frustration. "You may be able to get it done in an hour but Josh and I take our time. We spent some time talking, too. We're not neanderthals."

"Mhmmm.." Jeremy trailed off dismissively as I began to fill my cup up. "Parched?" He eyed my cup. It was filled to the brim with the red liquid.

"You boys are so dirty minded." I responded. "Though I was sheltered, what's to say it isn't normal to be so.." I was at a loss for the right word.

"Handsome?" Jeremy responded cockily. "Masculine?"

"If the word is masculine, it isn't describing you, mate." Hugh interjected, leading to a loud laugh from me. Hugh's one liners made my day and their hilarity.

"Hugh, mate," Jeremy put his hand on his heart, feigning hurt. "Thought we were friends."

Hugh arched a brow, looking to me. "Did you enjoy your time with Josh?"

"Oh, not you too.." I groaned, avoiding eye contact with both of them. "We didn't do anything Jeremy wouldn't do."

"That's not reassuring." Hugh admitted, glancing at the brown haired man standing next to him.

"Let me rephrase," I spoke, stifling a laugh at Jeremy's stark faced expression. "We had a little kiss and talked. That's not exactly explicit, is it?"
