Hen nights for royalty wasn't as wild as you'd hope, but it was still fun. Aiysha organised everything for me — for which I was eternally grateful. She knew how to throw a party. I wore my usual strapless, black dress. It hugged my body tightly but it, thankfully, didn't break any protocols.
"Julian," I smiled, passing him in the hallway.
"Matilda." He greeted. "You look beautiful."
"You don't scrub up so bad yourself." I winked. In the months we'd got to know each other, I'd found we got on well. We weren't in love with each other but we were friends, which was more than I'd initially expected.
"Enjoy yourself." He spoke. I nodded,
"Oh, I intend to."
We left it there and I hurried along; I couldn't be late to a party being thrown for me. When I eventually arrived at the venue, both Lily and Aiysha had clearly had quite a bit to drink.
"Hello!" They squealed, tottering over to me in their heels.
"You seem like you're ready to get pissed." I chuckled. Lily nodded enthusiastically.
"I've had quite a bit to drink," She jeered, grinning. "Do you want one?"
"Yeah. I want to be as drunk as humanely possible." I grinned. "Or what else are hen nights for?"

I was going to dance until I dropped. Unfortunately — I did. I could feel my legs growing tireder and so I quickly went to the bathroom, if only to give myself a rest.
I peered in the mirror, fixing my hair. The door opened and I paid no attention to it, before a voice spoke.
"Matilda." Josh.
"This is the female toilets, Josh. Is there something you're not telling us?" I chuckled. He didn't laugh, much to my dismay."What are you doing here?" I cracked. I hadn't seen him since the incident at the wedding dress shop.
"Can we talk?" He asked, avoiding eye contact. I sighed and nodded.
"I guess there's no escaping it now." I sighed. "But not here, Josh. Go back to the flat; I'll meet you there."
He narrowed his eyes. "How do I know you won't stand me up?"
"You don't."
Josh rolled his eyes and nodded, exiting the toilets. I had a few minutes to myself before exiting the female toilets, only to walk straight into Lily.
