Lizzy POV

In my car, I helped Selena go through all the planning for the wedding. The flowers are roses and lilies, the food, and the color of our wedding dresses will be traditionally white of course. I sighed. "Sel?" I said. She looked at me from that damn list of wedding preparations we went over for 38 minutes. "Yes babe?" She said. I huffed. "Can we go over the end of that damn list?" I asked agitated. She rolled her eyes and smiled. "Lizzy, I know you're tired of it but the wedding's in Jamaica so we have to go over everything. Plus Francia's helping me send out the invitations. Not to mention we have to fly over to Jamaica for the bachelorette parties and the big day." She told me. I looked at her. "Why have two bachelorette parties? There's one for bachelor." I said. She smirked. "Because a bachelor is a groom. You're also a bride so why not?" She said. I smiled. "I'm just happy we're having it in Jamaica." I told her. She smiled and kissed my cheek. "We'll have all our families and closest friends." She said. I nodded. Then I thought about one person in my family. My birth father. He should come because he's Justin and I's father. I smiled sadly. Selena noticed it. "What's wrong?" She asked. I sighed. "Its me and Justin's birth dad. I think he should come to the wedding because you know Justin spent some time with him. And he got to know me too." I said. She held my wrist as I stirred the wheel. "Babe of course he can. I wanna get close to your friends and family so that's why we're going to this barbecue. So, tell me all about your school friends and their kids as we get there." She said. I chuckled. "Emily and Mike are married. I always knew they had feelings for each other. They have 3 kids. Two boys and one girl. Josefina, Matthew and Caleb." I told her. She giggled. "Awww! What about Jayden?" She asked. "Jayden's married to our other friend Melissa. She's really cool but super catholic so we ain't bringing her to the wedding. They have only one daughter named Zoe Rivas. I'm close with that teenage cutie. She just graduated high school." I said. She looked at me confusedly. "You mean Zoe Rivas from West Drive?" She said. I smirked and nodded. Her jaw dropped. "Omg! I loved West Drive! She's a great actress." She said. I smirked. "I think you and her will get along well. But she's also a lesbian." I told her. She looked at me. "Whoa. And her mother's catholic?" She said. I nodded. "Yup so we ain't bringing her to the wedding. Period. The woman can't even accept her daughter for who she is." I said. She quickly nodded. She looked at me. "What about Antonio?" She asked. My smile quickly faded.
"He has a daughter named Jodi. Jodi loves fashion like she wanna be a fashion designer. I'm like, that's another Lexi." I joked. We both laughed. "Plus he wasn't married to her mom. She died after she gave birth." I said. Selena had a sad grin. "Least she's watching from above." She said. I smiled and nodded. Then she started laughing. I looked at her. "What? You laughing at?" I said. She smirked. "Now here's the two that's a little too much about the book you used to say. Kevin and Mia. What about them?" She asked. "They're married. Teenage daughter named Corki and newborn son Ben. He was born in 2016. He just turned 1." I told her. She smiled. "Awww! Such a close group of families." She said. I chuckled a little. I finally drove to where Jayden's house is and parked. Selena sighed happily. "I'm excited!" She said. I laughed. I knocked on the door and it was Mike. "Lizzy!" Mike said. I laughed and hugged him. "Mikey I missed you so much! This is my fiancée Selena!" I said.
She smiled. "Hi!" She said and the two hugged. "Nice to meet you! This is the independent sexy hot woman you always talk about. " He said, smirking. I chuckled. Selena rolled her eyes and giggled.
He let us inside and we saw everybody in the kitchen and living room. Corki smiled widely and waved to me. I laughed and waved. Matthew and Josefina were playing on their phones. Zoe got up and hugged us. "Hey Lizzy! Missed you so much! So this is the fiancée right here?" She said, smirking. Selena laughed. "I'm Selena. You must be Zoe." She said. I can tell I saw Melissa's disgusted look that we're engaged. Oh she's so not invited except Zoe. "Hey guys!" Kevin, Mia and Jayden said. "Hey!" Me and Selena said. Emily looked at Josefina and Matthew. "Kids, godmother Lizzy and your auntie to be is here." She told them. They looked up from their phones. I smiled. "Hi cuties!" I said. They hugged me and Sel. "Hi auntie Lizzy, hi aunt Selena." They both said. Caleb smiled and hugged us as well. "Let's eat! Jayden made ribs from the grill!" Mia said. I smiled nervously. "She didn't help cook did she?" I whispered to Kevin. "Be happy I made her take cooking class." He whispered back. I breathed a breath of relief. Melissa got up from the couch. "It's nice to see you Lizzy...and your lover friend." She said. Me and Selena fake smiled and hugged her. I mouthed to Zoe 'she ain't invited except you' to her. She mouthed 'thank you' back. Mia picked up Ben and showed him to me. I tickled his cheeks and he smiled and giggled. Selena looked at him in awe. "Can I hold him?" She asked. Mia smiled. "Sure!" She said and gave Ben to her. She made goofy faces and he giggled again. He's so adorable! I kissed his cheek and hers. She laughed. Jayden came inside. "Ribs are ready!" He said. I smiled. Everybody cheered and went outside. Selena followed me while she held Ben. I just hope Mia didn't spoil the food....
