Lizzy POV

When I said hope she didn't spoil the food, guess I was wrong. The ribs were actually very good. I was sitting on the table outside with Selena, Zoe and Corki and Jodi. Antonio, Mike, Kevin and Jayden wanted to be inside to watch the football game. Caleb, Josefina and Matthew was playing ball. Corki smiled. "I'm so happy for you guys's engagement!" She said. I laughed. "I know but remember the wedding's in Jamaica." I said. All of their jaws dropped. "Jamaica?!" They said. I laughed and nodded. "Omg! That sounds really romantic! Are you gonna kiss at sunset?" Zoe asked. We looked at each other and blushed. Maybe we would. "Maybe." I told her. Then Josefina came over to the table. She smiled. "Aunt Lizzy, wanna play ball with us?" She said. I smiled. "Sure sweetie!" I said. I got up and joined the rest of the kids. It was a game they made up called Catch Ball. Whenever the ball falls into someone's hands, the person has to run before the other players could tackle him or her to get it. Seems like football in my opinion. Matthew kicked the ball up in the air. We all ran to catch it. The ball fell into Caleb's hands. He smiled. "Woo hoo!" He yelled and slam the ball to the ground. It bounced up in the air and hit the sprinkler pipe. It popped and squirted lots of water on the girls. They screamed. All of our jaws dropped. The others came outside out of worry. Jayden ran and turned off the sprinkler pipe. The water stopped squirting. Selena and the girls were very soaking wet. They all looked at Caleb and growled. Mike crossed his arms. "Guys, what did we tell you about playing Catch Ball?" He said sternly. Josefina looked at Matthew. "He's the one that picked that game!" She said. He rolled his eyes. "No I didn't!" He growled. "You did too!" She shouted. Caleb rolled his eyes. I huffed. "It don't matter kids! Just stop the game and come inside!" I told them. They groaned and walked inside the house. Selena looked at me. "I'm sorry." I said. She fake smiled. "It's ok. I'm glad I got fucking wet on the day of meeting more of your folks before our wedding." She said sarcastically. I tried to hold her hand but she smacked my hand. I hold in a chuckle and she elbowed my shoulder as we went back in the house.

Later, Mia and Emily helped dry the girls up. We all was wandering around the house chatting and while some of the guys were still watching the game. I took a walk outside with Mia in the backyard. She and Kevin are kind of the most ones I been keeping in touch with. We stayed talking on phone and FaceTime. I even had Corki at my house after she had her wisdom teeth out and stayed with me on her 4 days off school. She laughed as I told her about Lexi falling down the steps. Again, it was too funny. I smiled as I saw Corki inside with the kids chatting and laughing with Selena. "So Lizzy, we're all invited to your wedding?" She asked. I smiled. "Yes! Everyone except Melissa." I said, muttering the last part. She looked at me confusedly. "Why? You want Zoe to come except her mother?" She said. I slowly nodded. "The reason why is because she'll start some drama. She knows Zoe's a lesbian and she doesn't even accept her like that. The woman is super catholic and you know I can't stand catholic people. She hates anyone who's gay, lesbian or bisexual. Mia, I would rather give myself to the sharks than have her catholic ass wreck my wedding." I growled quietly. She stood shocked at what I said. But I meant it. She's not ruining the best day of my life because she can't accept how different people's sexuality is. She sighed. "Ok, that's you and Selena's decision. I'm not gonna force you to bring her. Guess I'll tell her after everyone leaves. Don't worry about the plane tickets, we'll book a flight to Jamaica." She said. I nodded. "Me and Selena will send out invitations. Are you gonna stay at an hotel? Because me and Sel found a large house where the families and close friends can live." I asked. She smiled widely and nodded her head no. "Nope! We'll totally go!" She said. I giggled. "Good." I said. She smiled sadly. "What's wrong?" I asked. She huffed. "It's terrible Corki's grandpa won't be there. He hasn't been around since she was 14." She said. I huffed. Damn, that seem sad. "Did Corki love him so much?" I said. She laughed. "Yeah. Every night he always sang that beautiful song that made her feel better when she had nightmares." She said. Awww! The grandparents are always the enjoyable people. "What about you? Do you have grandparents?" She asked. I smiled. "I have grandpa and grandma on mama's side. My grandpa Ernest on my daddy's side passed away last year 2016." I told her. She smiled sadly. "You ok? ....did something happen to her grandpa?" I said. We stopped walking and she looked at me. She took a deep breath. "I'm only telling you this because you can keep a secret. He died when she was 14. Corki doesn't even know." She told me.Damn, that's really tragic. I can't imagine losing my grandparents before I even grew up. "How he die?" I asked. She sighed. "He killed himself. He kind of had depression so he felt suicidal. We went to his funeral and we knew how hard it be for Corki so we left her at my mom's. She'll be so hurt I mean she has a crying issue. She'll have a bad breakdown." She said, breaking down in tears. I grabbed her and hugged her. She sobbed on my shoulder. Can't believe he died like that. I looked at her. "She's 17 now. It's time to tell." I said. She wiped her tears. "You're right. But there's more." She told me. More? "What's more?" I asked. She sighed. "Her best friend got into a car accident. She passed away in the emergency room. We and her parents were there." She said. Man, two people she really loved passed away. My jaw dropped. "Well you gotta tell her sooner! You can't keep this from her forever!" I said. She huffed. "Please don't tell her at this time. You have your wedding and everything else. You don't want any drama to start at the wedding. Do you?" She said. I sighed. Then again, she's right. I don't even want no drama from a catholic woman. "Ok. I'll keep these secrets. But its awful for you to not tell her as soon as it all happened." I said. She looked at me. I walked back inside the house with her behind me.

A while later, me and Selena left everybody to go home. I can tell she enjoyed every minute spending time with the kids and all. I kept thinking about what Mia said earlier. I sure hope they'll handle telling Corki that her two loved ones have died tragically.
Me and Selena was cuddling on the living room couch. She giggled as I kissed her lips multiple times. I smiled. She looked at me. "I can't wait for Jamaica." She whispered. I nodded excitingly. "I know. You what else happens in Jamaica when we get our room?" I asked. She smirked and I rubbed her hair. She nodded her head no. "You better hold your horses." She said. I groaned and she laughed.
