"Are you sure you want to go to school today, hon?" Seokjin inquired with a concerned countenance upon his delicate features as he furrowed his brows at the sight of his daughter donned in her iron-pressed school uniform.
Minji let out a faux, dramatic gasp while bringing her hand up to her mouth.
"Oh my god, my dad doesn't want me to go to school! The world is ending!"
Seokjin pinched the tip of his nose in between his slender fingers as a gesture of exasperation.
"Minji, you get what I mean. I'm not too keen on sending you to school where I can't keep an eye on you after what happened yesterday. I don't want to see you hurt again."
The teenager's sharp, piercing orbs softened upon detecting the underlying worry in the distressed man's voice. She strode towards her father and stood on her tiptoes to peck his cheek.
"Don't worry, dad. Jennie won't pull that kind of stunt again. I'll inform a teacher if she decides to," Minji said reassuringly, giving Seokjin a brief hug before stepping back to adjust her tie.
Seokjin's facial muscles tightened at the mention of the girl's name.
"If she lay her filthy hands on you again," he began, flailing the wooden spoon in his hand, "I will-"
"Yes, yes, I get it, you will kill her," Minji cut Seokjin off flippantly. "You're too weak to be able to drag a dead body around, dad. It will take a toll on your bones that are already weakening due to your old age."
"YAH! YOU DISRESPECTFUL CHILD. I FED AND CLOTHED YOU FOR NINE YEARS AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!?" Seokjin yelled at the top of his voice, looking dumbfounded by the sheer audacity of his daughter who was giggling.
"Dad, hate to cut short your PMS rant but I need to get to school early to retrieve my bag which I left in my locker yesterday. Wake Tae-Tae up for me, please. Bye, dad! Love ya," Minji spoke rapidly, dashing out of the house and leaving Seokjin puzzled as he tried to make out her jumbled words.
When it finally clicked, he proceeded to run after her until he reached the doorway. Thanks to his perfect vision, he spotted her sprinting down the pathway at a speedy pace until he could only see the outline of her figure as the distance between him and his daughter grew drastically. Undeterred by her quickly moving out of his peripheral view, he shook his fist and shouted loud enough to wake up his neighbours and the undead.
