"Johnny, I can explain, please hear me out!" Ten said beseechingly, trying to grab hold of the older male's arm but he was brushed off coldly.

"What else is there to explain? You're all dolled up with makeup and I caught you in a car with a girl who kissed you on your damn cheek!" Johnny seethed with an angry flush growing on his face.

Felix stood on the sidelines, watching his parents argue with a forlorn look on his face. It hurt. It brought back distorted memories of his biological parents shrieking at each other at the top of their lungs. It was happening again to Felix. He was forced to witness the two people he loved tearing at each other's throats.

"STOP JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS DAMNIT!" Ten shouted, looking absolutely livid with rage as his patience had hit its limits. "I was scouted by a modelling agency and they took me back to their headquarters just to see if I was fit to be chosen by them. The girl is just my make-up artist who wanted to give me a ride home. I didn't know she was going to kiss me, for fuck's sake! I honestly wasn't cheating on you, believe me!"

"Oh yeah? And did it ever cross your mind that you should have informed me first about this job offer?" Johnny retorted, making wild hand motions in the air. "It isn't hard to assume things when you see a random girl kissing your husband in her car when you thought he was going to be spending the day looking for a job instead."

Ten gritted his teeth as he jabbed Johnny's chest with one finger. "Is that how little trust you have in me? You think I would just hook up with some bitch in the back of her car?!"

Johnny looked at Ten dead in the eye and said crisply, "Yes."

Ten stumbled back as if he was struck by Johnny's fists while Felix let out a pained whimper and cupped his hands over his ears to block out any harsh insults that he knew they would soon exchange.

Like always, Saeyoung had horrible timing. She opened the door to her house only to be greeted by her two fathers glaring daggers at each other and her brother burying his head in his hands. The tension in the air was so thick, anyone could easily slice it with a knife.

"What's going on?" Saeyoung inquired tentatively, clutching onto the strap of her schoolbag so tight her knuckles turned white.

"Nothing. I want both of you to go to your rooms right now," Johnny said with a clipped tone that insinuated the two children should know better than to protest. Felix rose to his feet wordlessly and headed upstairs without sparing any of them a glance.

Saeyoung's bottom lip started trembling and she bit down on it with a little too much force than necessary. Whatever her parents were quarrelling about, it had to be serious. She had never seen her parents this distraught yet irate at the same time. However, the hopeful part of her was not worried. They would reconcile in the end, right? They always made up after a few days since they could not stand giving each other the cold shoulder. So why did her instincts tell her she was wrong? Was it the look in Johnny's eyes? He was looking at Ten with an abnormal amount of hurt and mistrust brewing in his eyes as if he had just committed infidelity-
