At first, when Mark opened the door, Everything looked the same. Jack looked at Mark confused. Wasn't it supposed to be different?
"Go ahead, step in."
"This room looks no different," Jack told him, somewhat unamused now.
"From here, I agree. It looks no different. You need to walk in to see the difference." Mark explained to him before holding his arm out through the doorway. Jack gave him a look before entering the room, and right away he realized what he meant. Everything was getting bigger than him, much much bigger. "See what I mean?"
"Good lord! Am I getting smaller or is the room getting bigger?"
"I think that is all about relativity. Now, Ethan and Tyler."
"Right, they are over here." Jack jogged a bit over to the fireplace, the doll cabinet being right next to it. "I had put them up there."
"My God, why did you put them so high up?"
"Because I thought you would do this and this was how I was going to figure out if Godfather was telling the truth." Mark sighed but couldn't stop the smile that came to his face.
"Mark, Is that you?" Both the men looked up and saw someone looking over the edge.
"Ethan? Is Tyler awake up there?"
"Yep, he is. Can you find a way to either come up or get us down?"
"Yeah, give me a minute. Jack? Can you help?"
"Uh, yeah. Sure." Mark and Jack turned from the fireplace and looked around the room. "We could bring a pillow over for them to jump onto," Jack suggested while pointing at the couch across the room.
"Actually, that isn't a bad idea. We will do that." Mark told him before walking to the couch. Mark managed to get up onto it with Jack's help. Ethan and Tyler both waved at Mark, who waved back of course with a big smile. Mark managed to get a pillow down, but it landed on Jack. "Sorry!" Whatever jack said was muffled by the pillow as Mark jumped down and lifted the pillow up off him. "Are you ok?"
"No! You dropped the pillow on me! It was really heavy!" Jack paused and replayed what he said in his head before starting to chuckle a bit. Mark looked at him and set the end of the pillow back down and started to chuckle with him. It went from chuckling to laughing. They both were just thinking about the fact that the pillow was 'heavy'. Then they were both bent over from laughing so hard until Mark fell on Jack, no longer able to stand. The two men laughed a bit more before Ethan called out for Mark.
"Your Highness, I hate to interrupt but we are still up here!" they were still chuckling as they stood up before Mark cleared his throat.
"Alright, let's get this over there." Jack crouched down with mark and started to push the pillow.
"Wow, this really is heavy," Mark remarked.
"I told you so!" Jack responded loudly to his comment.
"Why do you think that is?"
"Because I shrunk and am now the height of this pillow. I don't like it."
"Now you know my pain. I have been thrown off your stairs. It hurt more than anything I have ever endured. I have been kicked, thrown against walls, dropped, I have even been thrown out the window but NOTHING hurt like when I was sent flying like that." Jack suddenly felt so bad and glanced over at him with a frown. The prince realized this and quickly continued what he was saying. "But you did an AMAZING job patching me up. I don't even hurt at all anymore. It is great. I feel better than I have in years!" Mark smiled at him gratefully. That smile seemed contagious because now Jack was smiling. They got it to the fireplace and straightened up. Mark re-adjusted his coat and looked up. "Ready the canon!" Mark called up playfully.
"Bombs away!" Suddenly Ethan popped up with his knees hugged close to him and coat flying up behind him. Jack and Mark watched him fall through the air. He landed with a muffled thud and was sprawled out. "That was awesome!" Ethan sat up quickly before he got off the pillow. "Your Highness." The doctor bowed deeply at Mark, exaggerating it as much as possible. Mark laugh as Tyler came down next. The three grinned at each other for a moment before Mark opened up his arms.
"Come here!" The three hugged as Jack stood off to the side and watched in silence. It was a sweet scene to see. Three best friends all reunited after god knows how long. "I missed you guys, you have no idea."
"I think we do a little." Tyler told him simply before they all pulled away.
"Yeah. Now, let's see if we can find Amy. I have heard rumors from others that she might be here." Ethan's tone sounded official but his posture was mock seriousness, keeping the tension low.
"How?"
"Our home and we ourselves have become very well known among the toys. You are their prince as well." Tyler went to correct Ethan on something but closed his mouth. Mark noticed this but didn't say anything.
"Alright, well. Let's go." They started to walk and talk with Jack trailing behind them. It seems like they had forgotten him before they were stopped by a small toy. Mark looked curiously at the little tin soldier. "Hello there."
"Your Highness!" The little boy saluted. "I am Tim, your new personal guard! I was sent to bring you to Amy!" Tim was a little thing with light brown hair and eyes. He wore a red army coat over tan pants, a white shirt, and light brown suspenders. Freckles were splattered across his face and there was a small gap between his two front teeth. He was adorable.
"Oh, Tiny toy Tim! Oh, you are so cute. Oh my god." Mark knelt down to his level. Tim giggled as Mark gushed over how cute he was. Tyler cleared his throat, bringing mark back to the task at hand. "Amy is here?"
"Yes, sir! Up near the top of the tree! She has been waiting for you."
"Well then, lead the way," Mark told him with a grin as he stood back up. They followed the bouncing little toy as they went to the tree. Jack was a bit shocked because that had been a toy he had hung up on the tree. He looked around and saw that all the toys and ornaments were coming alive from years ago. It was incredible. He hung up some of these toys, like the Russian drummer waving at them, and the candy cane girl that was standing with the cotton candy boy, as well as the shining fairy watching over them. Eventually, a little boy about Tim's hight started to walk next to him. Jack hadn't seen him come out from the presents since he was watching the tree. He had bright green hair that curled around his face, a bright blue eye that shone with wonder, and a white eyepatch over his right eye.
"Hi. My name is Sam." Jack jumped a bit at the quiet voice that came from the boy. With a smile, he greeted him back.
"Did this Amy lady send you too?"
"No, I had asked to come." He smiled brightly at him although it didn't match his quiet voice. "What is your name?"
"Sean, but I like to be called Jack."
"Alrighty, Jack!" He smiled much and chattered happily with him, although he did all the talking, although it wasn't much, and Jack just listened with a smile.
