"Why not? You would look good in a dress!" Mark teased him, standing up and putting his hands on his hips.
"Did you see what she pulled down? That's not even a dress!"
"Well..." Mark looked him over.
"Don't you dare try to imagine me in that." Jack walked pass him with a head shake.
"Why not?"
"Because I said."
"Yes your majesty!" Mark gave a dramatic bow smirking.
"That's it." Jack turned around and charged at Mark, who jumped to the side but landed on the bed. Jack hit the nightstand and cursed. "That hurt." Mark laughed once at his pain before Jack looked at him and jumped onto his bed too, wrestling the man. They laughed a bit until the fell onto the floor, Mark onto it Jack's stomach. "Good lord, you are heavy!" Then there was a bang on the door.
"Jack, quiet down! I am trying to sleep!"
"Sorry!" Mark held his breath as he silently got off the man. They listened to her steps go down the hall, then the Prince offered his hand to help him up. "Are you ok?" He asked in a whisper.
"I'm fine, I can handle a fall like that, what about you? A hunch of wood landed on your stomach." The man chuckled.
"I'm fine." He finally took his hand and stood up. They stood close for a few moments. A very long few moments. They still held each others hands as they gazed into each others eyes.
"I never really got to notice how pretty your eyes are..." Jack blushed as he looked up at him. The prince was just smiling softly as he looked at him, taking his other hand. "With all the excitement going on i never got a chance to take a good look that them..."
"W-well..." He didn't say anything but that, since that was all he could think to say. Mark leaned in closer to Jack, but he thought he was seeing things.
"Well what?" He asked him with a bit of a hushed voice. Jack opened his mouth but nothing came out. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" The shorter man blushed harder and finally backed away, to Mark's hidden dismay.
"Don't mess around with me like that." Jack told him quietly.
"What do you mean?" But he just shook his head. "No, tell me."
"You don't want me there, but you act like... well that."
"What do you mean, of course i want you there. I wouldn't be getting you if i didn't." Mark moved in front of jack, but he looked away. "Who told you i didn't want you there?" It was a few seconds before he answered.
"No one, i just figured..." Mark gently put his hand on his cheek and made Jack look at him.
"I want you there, ok? No mater what you think will come across as me NOT wanting you there, know i want you coming with me whenever i go back." Jack still seemed unsure but he nodded.
"Ok."
"Good." the conversation trailed off. Mark hadn't lowered his hand, but Jack backed up again.
"I'm going to get something to eat."
"Alright." Mark said, trying to hid his disappointment. He watched Jack leave and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, at least i know i'm not trying to kiss him out of the situational tension." Mark sat down on the bed and watched he door, waiting for Jack to come back. He tried to figure out what he did to make Jack think that he didn't want the man there with him. He loves when Jack joins him. Jack seemed almost right at home there in his land, and he loves it. He probably just loves the man in general. Mark rolled that last sentence around in his head for a while as he watched the door, waiting for the man to return. He didn't exactly reject the idea, but he wasn't sure if it was too soon to think that he loved him. Mark sighed a bit as he looked down at his hands. This was he first time in a long time he had looked at the wood he was made out of and wished that the curse was over with so that he could move on. Usually he wouldn't mind waiting to find out exactly how to break the spell so that he could save his kingdom from Felix. He has even said out loud once upon a time that he would wait a thousand years to break the spell. He was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard footsteps in front of the door, expecting it to be Jack. However once he heard a girlish mutter he stood and went back to the area behind the door, so when it opened he was hidden from sight. He watched Jack's sister come in and scan the room.
"Whoever you are, you better come out. I know your here." He still didn't move. He swallowed nervously but didn't make a sound. She went to the man's closet and opened it. She found no man in there, obviously, but it annoyed her. She then checked under the bed. The only thing under the bed was dust bunnies, making her shake her head. She stood up and looked around the room again. She then checked behind the 4 sets of curtains in the room. Mark actually took a look at the curtains and smiled a bit. They were red, like Jack had asked for earlier and the suit he was wearing when Jack first got him as a present. 'He must really like the color red.' Allison became more and more annoyed as she looked behind the curtains since she still found no man. She looked in almost every hiding spot in the room. Almost. She still didn't check behind the door. She didn't think she should, thinking that no one would be stupid enough to hide somewhere so obvious. Jack finally entered the room.
"Allison, i thought you were asleep."
"Where is he Jack? I know you have another man in here."
"What are you talking about?"
"You had a full conversation!"
"I think you need more sleep Allison. There is no one here. Come on, lets get you back to bed."
"But-"
"No buts, come on." Jack took his sister out and brought her to her bedroom.
