They waited in silence to see if jack would come out. Mark silently hoped and prayed that jack wouldn't fall for it and wouldn't come out. He felt the man pull him off the tree and push him towards the couch. He eyed his sword for a moment.

"Don't even think about it." He was warned. "Now go get him." the wooden man looked at him for a moment before slowly walking tot he couch.

"Jack, please come out." He asked when he was close enough to not have to talk loudly. There was still no noise from behind the cushion. "Jack, please." He got up onto the couch and looked back for a moment. Felix made a threatening gesture across his neck, then pointed up. He pulled the pillow away slowly with shaky hands. It was a shock to see the area empty, causing mark to smile a bit and look back with a smirk. "He isn't here."

"Then check the other cushion." The smirk fell when he realized that he didn't know if jack was there either. If he was he would have to bring him out, and he could be killed. He went to the other cushion and took a deep breath before he pulled it away. Relief flooded him as he saw Jack wasn't there either. Now he wondered where he actually was. "Guards, get down here and look for that man! I want him alive!" Felix stormed over when he yelled his order. Mark looked down at him with a smirk. "And bring me that Rose girl!" Mark looked at the poor girl in worry as she struggled against the hold of the guard bringing her down. The man took her and held that sword to her throat.

"Leave her alone, she had nothing to do with this."

"Now that is a worse lie than some of mine! How can you say she had nothing to do with this when she s here!" The girl yelped in pain as she felt the blade bite into her neck.

"Ok, fine. yes she is here, but she hasn't done anything to you. She is a child."

"If you don't want me to kill her, than find Jack!"

"Alright, i'll find him!" he told him as he jumped down. He searched with the guards near the tree. He was actually pulled into a box that was hidden in the way back, left discarded on it's side. "Jack! How did you manage to get all the way over here?"

"There is a hole in the couch that is just big enough for me to fit through. I managed to slip back here while you and the butt munch out there were fighting." Mark had to suppress a laugh and stay serious.

"He has Rose."

"I know, he has everyone hostage."

"No, i mean he has rose with him. He is going to kill her if you don't come out." Jack seemed to panic for a moment.

"What are we going to do?"

"I don't know, i don't have a plan."

"Jack?" They heard rose call out for him. She sounded scared and it hurt both men. "Jack!" They heard the pain in her voice this time; Felix was hurting her.

"I'm going out."

"Wait, he'll kill you."

"He will kill her if i don't." They looked at each other for a moment before mark hung his head with Jack passing him. Mark listened to the conversation that went on out there. "I'm here, now let her go."

"It's about time. I wonder how we didn't notice you move." For a while there was quiet, and mark started to peek out to see what was going on. he couldn't see past the boxes that were there. He hid back in the box and slid down.

"come on mark, think!" He told himself. He heard whispering, but barely. He lifted his head before he got to his feet. The whispers seemed to get closer but Mark relaxed, recognizing the voices. "Ethan, Tyler, in here!" He whispered shouted to them. They quickly got into the box and spoke quietly about a plan, until they heard a fight break out, although the fight in't last longer than a few seconds. They crept out through the boxes to see Jack had been pinned to the ground with one arm being held behind his back. The guard holding him had his knee between his shoulders so he couldn't move. Rose was tossed to the side and The evil rat was slowly walking towards jack with his sword, ready to kill him.

"No!"

"Mark, don't go out there!" Ethan wasn't fast enough to stop Mark from running out and trying to tackle Felix down. The sword was dropped and forgotten as a fist fight ensued. It was a constant back and fourth of punches as some guards ran forward to pull mark off of him. Now both Mark and Jack were unable to fight and were going to be killed.  Felix picked up his sword and gave Mark a dangerous glare.

"You made a mistake Mark."

"Don't call me mark." He struggled against the hold of the two guards by his side. He watched the man walk up to him and put the tip of his sword to his throat again.

"I will call you whatever i want now, since it won't matter in a few moments." Mark flinched when he felt him move the sword from the center of his neck to the side and start to make a cut that was going to go around his throat. He could feel blood dripping down his neck and he couldn't move away to make it stop. Jack was wriggling under the guard pinning him down, telling Felix to stop, pleading for him to stop. He stopped only for a moment to ask

"Why should i?" Jack looked at him and couldn't think of what reason he should say that wouldn't get mark even more hurt. "See mark, even he doesn't have a good thing to say about you." Felix, instead of continuing the cut on the prince's neck, plunged the sword through his gut.

"No!"

"Enough!" Everyone looked at the man who just entered. He walked with an air of authority. Everyone looked at him as he approached the magician. "I said you could send spies for traitors, not harm innocent people."
