Chapter 14

Rose noticed he was mad and lagged behind in the group to walk next to him.

"Hey..." He didn't answer her so she looked down at her feet. "I just want to help..."

"How did you even know what was going on?" Rose looked at jack with a 'do you really not know me that well' look.

"Jack, i can't sleep at night. it takes me a good 3 to 5 hours to fall asleep unless Godfather makes me some tea kind of thing." Jack smacked his forehead when he realized she was right. He had totally forgotten that so she could have easily heard them.

"That's how you knew what was going on."

"Well yeah. The wall between my room and yours is pretty thin." They were silent for a while until Ethan called jack up front.

"Can you carry Mark? I am going to run ahead." That was when Jack realized they were at the living room and the door was open.

"Yeah, sure." Jack wrapped his arm around the prince's waist and pulled his arm over. Ethan started to run to the tree as they entered slowly. Tyler stayed back with Rose as she looked in awe the change that happened when she walked towards the tree. "You shouldn't have let Rose come."

"I couldn't say no to her. Besides, we could use her help in case anyone got hurt."

"What happened after you cut that rope to the sleigh and you fell out?" Mark thought for a moment before shaking his head.

"It's too complicated to explain now. I will explain at another time, when i have too." Jack frowned, not liking that but nodded.

"Alright then..."

"And Jack?"

"Yeah?"

"Please don't call me mark like that again."

"Sure. i can do that." He said quietly as Mark limped beside him. "Are you ok...?"

"Yeah, i'm fine."

"Do you want to take a break?"

"No. Jack, really I'm ok. You don't need to worry so much." He smiled at him, making the man smile back. Soon Ethan ran back with a wooden crutch.

"Princie dear, this is for you." Ethan joked with a smile.

"Oh honey, you shouldn't have!" mark joked back as he took it, letting go of jack. He fell a bit and bit his lip harshly to keep from crying out in pain. Rose was quick to come over and help him stand with Jack. Mark positioned his crutch under his arm and stood properly, leaning against it. Everyone was looking at him worriedly until Mark told them he was ok. "I can walk, don't worry." He told them all. They all relaxed and started walking again. "So rose, tell me about yourself." Rose jumped a bit and blushed.

"There isn't much to tell about me." Although Jack was still pretty upset with her he spoke up to defend her against herself.

"That is a load of junk. Rose there is a lot to you that you should be proud of! Did you know she wrote a series? It is at the little library down the street from Godfather's shop and everyone loves it." Rose blushed a lot and smiled a bit.

"It's not that good."

"And she makes her own clothes as well as doll clothes. They are incredible. Your wearing something she made Markimoo."

"I could have done better..."

"She makes the best sugar cookies and meatloaf and cakes that i have ever tasted."

"Jack..."

"AND she is the sweetest person that i know." Jack looked at rose and saw her looking away with a sad look on her face.

"I'm not any of those things, you know that..."

"Yes you are."

"Come on jack, let's be serious. I'm not any good at anything. I can't finish half the projects i start, i'm annoying and loud and no one ever wants to be around me. It's no wonder i don't have any friends." Jack frowned and looked at Mark, who had an idea.

"Rose, can you walk a head with me?" She nodded after a silent sigh and started walking with him. Ethan, Tyler, and Jack all watched them go a head.

"Does she get like that often?" Ethan asked as he rummaged around in his pouch.

"Yeah, sometimes. Everyone keeps trying to tell her she is great but i don't think she believes us."

"She doesn't. You can see it in her eyes."

"Yeah, i know." He sighed quietly.

"We should go up." Tyler said. "Markiplier and Rose can meet us up there." The other two nodded and they started to walk to the sleigh. There was a different sleigh than last time, but Sam and Tim were both still there.

"Hey Sam!" Jack greeted, getting a smile from the boy. "Hi Tim!" The other boy grinned and waved happily.

"Where is the prince?"

"He is talking to a friend of mine. They will be back in a bit." They got on the sleigh, which could now fit all three of them with enough space left for one more person, and started their ascent up, which was faster than before. They made it to the top and was greeted with Amy and a tall man next to her with giant hair and really red cheeks. "Hi."

"Hello Jack. I saw you brought Rose. Such a sweet girl. This is William. He will be with Rose when you all leave to the nearest town." Jack looked confused as he looked at her.

"What?"

"Amy, maybe we should have Mark explain when he gets up here with Rose." Ethan said quickly, getting a nod in agreement. Jack was getting frustrated with everyone and huffed with a sigh.

"Fine, leave me in the dark. It's not like i can help or anything."

"Don't worry Jack. Mark will explain soon."
