After the party ended, Rose and Godfather stayed to help clean up. Rose was still humming and twirling in circles while she swept up some fallen confetti she had thrown at couples. Jack chuckled as he watched, taking down a sprig of mistletoe from the doorframe.

"What happened to her?" He asked.

"She met a man who had been awfully charming. He's French. You know Rose like her singing french men." Godfather told him then both men laughed lightly. "And he knows what she does and he still seemed interested. I'm going to have to keep a close eye on him."

"A very close eye. Rose, as annoying as she is, is a sweet girl. I don't want her to get all heartbroken and such."

"That is very true. It would be very sad if she got hurt." Jack came down from the ladder and moved to the next doorway. "Rose told me how well you fixed Mark."

"She did?"

"Of course. Better than new. She also told me you wanted some friends for him."

"You can't tell that girl anything." He said with a sigh.

"I have two toys back at my shop, wooden dolls actually. Moving parts and all. If you can fix them up you can keep them you know."

"Godfather, you don't need to do that!"

"Jack, I want too. Besides, they are needing a good home. I don't think they have seen a one in a very long time." Jack smiled at him as he set the ladder down on the floor. Going up, He got a different sprig of mistletoe as Godfather kept talking. "Perhaps we can go get it now? I'm sure your family wouldn't mind if we go to get them." Jack raised an eyebrow as he looked down at him. As if by magic his father passed by and said

"I don't mind, just make sure he is back in an hour or two." Jack looked shocked as Godfather smirked up at him. He didn't understand what just happened. His father just gave permission just like that. It must be that it was Godfather instead of anyone else.

"Let's go." He said as Jack descended the ladder. He closed it and leaned it against the wall before following Godfather out. Outside it was chilly so Jack pulled his jacket and his scarf close to him to keep out the cold.

"Do I get to hear the story of the other two dolls at least?" Godfather smiled at Jack's question.

"Of course. Would you like one while we walk?"

"Yes!" Was the excited answer to the question.

"Well, no." Godfather smiled while the smaller man pouted a bit.

"What why?"

"Because their stories are the same."

"They were together?"

"When they found out about Felix, yes."

"Wait, what!? They are from the same story!?"

"Yep."

"That is SO COOL!" Godfather laughed as Jack's eyes sparkled and he smiled wide. "Were they friends with Mark?"

"Of course. They were very very close. In fact, they had searched for him after they found out he was exiled."

"And they never found him."

"Yep."

"And if I can fix them up-"

"They can be reunited with their prince and best friend." They both smiled and kept walking. Silence filled the gap between them. Jack was letting his thought wander to who the newcomers may be, how they may have met the prince, how they acted around him. Maybe they would joke around a lot. They probably sit, playing cards or maybe they would pull pranks on each other. When they arrived at the shop, it was still warm. It made jack smile softly in gratitude as he took his coat and scarf off. "Ah, nice and warm. Just like I like it. Rose must have kept a low fire going in the kitchen so it was warm when we get back."

"Rose is so great."

"I know. Now let me get Tyler and Ethan." Jack sat down, confused a bit, and waited. Godfather came back with a tall doll in a general's uniform and a smaller man in a doctor's uniform that matched his blue and black hair. "Tyler was the Prince's general his whole life. They grew up together, happily, since they were 12 or 13. They always went into battle together and they were always saving each other." Godfather handed Tyler to Jack. This doll's hair seemed real and soft under Jack's fingers. The clothes were made with the same material as Mark's suit. Jack saw that his leg was a mangled mess and his other was bent at an awkward angle. He must have been dropped by a child"This is Ethan. He met Mark and Tyler a few years later after a battle. He was patching them both up and they were making jokes about how they were going to die although it wasn't very serious. Ethan joined in on the joke and he became their doctor since. He mothers them in a sense. He makes sure they have everything and tries to make sure they are safe and don't do anything stupid." Godfather then handed him Ethan. The blue coat was stiff like it was recently cleaned, and the black shirt was tucked into some white pants. His hair was also real and fluffy. Ethan's arm was hanging loose in the coat arm, broken off and needing to be reattached. That was the extent of his damage. He must have been played with less than Tyler.

"Wow... The paint looks really good, and the clothes."

"Me and Rose fixed a few things up. Now, do you want me to tell you what happened to these two?"

"Oh, yes, please! Tell me what happened!"

"In a few moments, don't worry."

"You're not going to tell me, are you? You are gonna keep teasing me until I am old and grey." Godfather laughed a bit.

"Would you like to figure it out on your own?" The sudden question brought him back to a calmer mood.

"What do you mean?" Godfather smiled a bit as he slowly sat down in his old rickety rocking chair near the counter. Jack moved around the table to grab a seat.

"You saw his eye twinkle, didn't you?"

"Yeah, but that was just the light."

"Both times?"

"How did you..."

"Magic."

"You're crazy. Ther isn't any such thing as magic." Godfather raised an eyebrow at the statement Jack gave him. "You've gone crazy, you really have."

"You think so?"

"Yes. I do."

"Then why haven't you gotten up and left?" Jack blinked once before he came up with an answer.

"Because that is rude."

"It because somewhere deep in you, you believe me. You believe I am right." Jack was silent, thumb idly rubbing Ethan's coat. "Wait until tomorrow night, when those three are on that chair. You will see." Jack sighed and looked down at the two dolls. He didn't plan on putting them next to his Nutcracker, but it did make him wonder what would happen. If everything Godfather said was true, if magic would bring them all to life... What would Mark be like? Or Ethan and Tyler? "Why don't you head home? Then you might be able to work on them a bit before going to bed. Make sure Ethan doesn't lose his arm along the way." Jack nodded and stood up. He put on his coat and scarf and gathered them up before going. On his way home he couldn't stop thinking about what Godfather had said. 'What if he was right? What would I do?' Jack kept those questions going through his head more than any other thought. He didn't know how to react to what he had said to him. 'He had asked me if I wanted to figure it out from them, but is that possible? Can they really come to life and let me ask?'

When Jack got home he went up to his room and went straight to working on those dolls. He wanted to find out if they would really come to life by tomorrow night at least. Jack ended up working until he fell asleep with his new tools in his hands and the dolls completely fixed.
