CHAPTER 24 - SECRET

[“Hmm…. Lately Dayu is acting weird. I know that he started to have powers, I also know that he is training to control his powers with the seer. I give him that permission to go for his training.]

[But I still want to know what he is doing. Whether it is safe or not. I worry a lot for him and my wife has been asking about him too. We have been a dotting parent to Dayu after his parents and grandmothers’ death. We love him like he is our own.]

[So, I have decided to ask him everything. If he doesn’t want to tell the whole truth it’s ok, at least he has to show me that he is safe. This way I will be assured. Let’s wait for him to get back from his training. Then I will ask him.”] Nodded.

That evening, on the 6th day of training, Dayu just got back. He finish up his work on the field then went back home to rest. Before he could go back, he was stopped by Mr. Hoe.

“Dayu! Wait! Do you want to come to my house for dinner? My wife misses you so much…. So she has been asking me to bring you home…. So…. Would you…?”

“Hehe……. Of course I will come Mr. Hoe. Tell aunty I will be there after I shower ok.”

“Yes! Thank you Dayu ah! This will make her very happy!”

“Sure Mr. Hoe. Both of you are like my parents. You guys have been taking care of me since I was little, and for that I am very grateful. So if you want me to come to your house or asking about me just ask away…. I won’t mind.” I smile.

“Ok Dayu ah! Sure! Next time I will do just that!”

So I went back home to take a shower before going to Mr. Hoe’s house. Upon arriving, I was being welcome by Mr. Hoe and his wife, Aunty Mei. Aunty Mei hugged me and kissed my cheeks many times as she tell me how much she misses me.

“DAYU!! How I miss you!!! Muah muah muah….. next time always come and visit ok!! I miss you sooo much when you are not here!!!” she makes a pouting face.

“Hahaha….. ok aunty Mei! I will come here regularly. I miss you too and your cooking. *ggrrrr* Hahaha…. Looks like my stomach has done the talking… I am hungry!”

“Oh yesyes! Come in and just sit at the dining table… I’m going to set the table… tonight we’re having a feast. I cook it special for you… your favorite dishes.” Her face is very sparkling with happiness.

“Wow! I can’t wait! Thank you aunty Mei!”

“No need to thank me. You are our family too.”

“Thank you!”

We sat at the dining table. Then Aunty Mei bring in the food. She is not kidding when she said that we are having a feast. And all the food are my favorites.

I eat everything she had cooked for me and we also chatted together. It has been so long since I last feel the warmth of a family. After the dinner, we have tea in the living.

“Dayu! Can…. I ask you something?”

“Sure Mr. Hoe! Ask away!”

“I want to ask about your training. I know you have secrets that you can’t reveal to me but, I just….. I just want to know that you are safe…. Nothing dangerous happens to you. We have sworn to your late grandmother that we will take care of you. So…. Can you tell me about your training..?”

“Hmmm….. It’s alright Mr. Hoe. I know you worry about me but it is ok. I am not doing anything dangerous. There might be hurt but nothing dangerous. It’s just that I’m trying to control my powers so I am bound to get hurt a little but it I ok. The seer always help me in healing my wounds so I’m ok! You don’t have to worry. I will help arrange a meet between you and also the seer that help me. I guess it is time for you guys to meet.”

“Can we?! We didn’t mean to intrude on you guys…. But if it is ok with you….”

“Hehe…. I’m sure she will be very delight. Her name is Linda by the way. She is very kind to me. And I also have another special friend. His name is Blue. But I will not tell about him. I will just show it to you when we are going to meet Linda at her house ok.”

“Oohh….. sure sure! We are fine with that. As long as they are your friend, then they are our friend too.”

“Ok! That settles it than! I’m sorry that I can’t reveal everything to you guys! I will tell it to you guys when the time is right.”

“It’s ok Dayu ah! As long as you’re safe, we’re fine with it. Take your time to tell us and have no regrets in life…. Ok?!”

“Yes! Thank you Mr. Hoe…. Aunty Mei!!” I hugged them.

They are a kind couple and I love them as much as I love my parents. They are my family.

Dragon Peak Mountain

Qing has been training for 10 days with The Great Dragon. He improves a lot and Qing is a quick learner. He absorbs everything like a sponge.

It’s easy to teach him although there are times where his hot headedness is making us disagree with each other. Overall, it’s alright.

[“I guess it’s time to introduce him to the clan!”]

“Qing! I think it’s time to introduce you to the clan. You are ready! Are you ready to meet them?!”

“If you say so, then… I’m alright with it.”

“Ok! Let’s go! I already tell them that I’m going to introduce you to them. Now they are waiting for us!”

“Ok let’s go!” we took off to the open field at the center of the mountain. It’s very beautiful. It like a paradise.

There are enough food and water for every one of them.

“Listen up every one! This is Prince Qing!!” every dragon were very shocked upon hearing that I am the prince.

“Yes! He is the prince of this kingdom. I know that all of you were very much shocked but this is the truth. Prince Qing was born with magical powers and growing up with the ability of a shifter. And he had the form of a dragon which is very rare. In the past there is only one dragon of this form. It is the greatest dragon recorded in history. The founder of the dragon clan.”

[“Every dragon know of this history but it’s the first for me. Reed never told me about it. He only said that it’s a myth. So I would really like to know about this!”]

“He is also the future King of this kingdom! He will be the protector of our kingdom and the greatest King ever. Bow to him to pledge your royalty as I did. I myself has bow to him and pledge my royalty to him.”

Every dragon’s eyes are on me when they heard their leader had bowed to me. Then they also bow to me and I bow back as my respect towards them.

“Alright. Now that everyone has pledge their royalty to the prince, it is time for him to continue his training. If any of you has any problem or disagreement, please talk to me. We will solve them one by one alright!” we took off to continue with the training.

“Reed! Is it really ok like this?! I bet they are very confuse about this! And you never tell me that my form is from the founder of the dragon clan…?? You said that it was a myth! How come I never knew of this?”

“Well… it’s a history that only the dragon clan knows off! It is a secret to other races as we in the dragon clan has a past that we want to forget, so, you don’t need to know about it. Just focus on the present and the future. Hope you will find your mate soon and hopefully the savior will awake anytime soon.”
