CHAPTER 27 - SICKNESS

THE BORDER – MORNING

"Linda! Linda! Emergency! Emergency!"

"Yes... yes!! Who is it?"

"It's me Linda! I have an emergency message from Dr. Phil!"

"Oh! It's you Chip! Its been a while don't you think...! So... what's the emergency?"

"There's a new sickness that is caused by black magic in The City! And Dr. Phil need your help with Healing magic and medicines! Can you come as soon as possible?"

"WHAT!! BLACK MAGIC!!! Alright I will go there straight away after I pack my medicines! Tell Dr. Phil to set up a barrier to prevent the black magic from getting out of the house! You will help him Chip since it's your clan's magic barrier! You can do it right?"

"Alright Linda! I will help Dr. Phil!"

"Alright! Here is your payment and the catalyst for your barrier spell!"

"Thank you, Linda! I'm on my way!"

"Alright, Chip! See you there!"

Linda pack up all her herbs and potions. She also packs up her healing spell book. Then she went to pick more rare herbs in case it's a strong spell.

As Linda is about to make her move to The City, Dayu showed up and asks Linda where she's going. Linda almost forget about Dayu since she heard about the black magic.

"LINDA! Where are you going?"

"Oh my God! Dayu! I almost forget about you! I need to go to The City! My friend who is a doctor just inform me there is a sickness spreading in The City which is caused by black magic! So he needs me to help him with healing magic and medicines!"

"Wait... WHAT!! BLACK MAGIC!!? I thought black magic is banned in the kingdom!"

"Yes! It should be! But right now, there is an unknown black magic in The City which causes a sickness to spread! So, I'm going right now to check what it is! So, today's training is canceled!"

"Alright, Linda! But can we come? I can help you with your medicines and you might need more help!"

"Hmm... yeah, alright Dayu! You can come! You might be right! And we may need to borrow your powers in case something happens! Blue, you're coming too! You can help me to carry my herbs and potions! This way I can bring more herbs and potions since the whole City area is infected!"

"Sure Linda! I want to help anyway I can!"

"Alright! That's settles it then! Come Dayu! Help me pack more herbs and potion!"

Dayu and Linda pack more herbs and potions and put it into the basket that is with Blue. After few minutes of packing, they are ready to depart. But before they depart, the queen of sprites came to Linda and gave her a spell that can help her purify the black magic.

Linda thank the queen of sprites and they are on their way. They ride on Blue since she can fly. Blue just got her wings a few months ago and she has become an expert in flying.

After half a day of flying, they land to take a rest near a lake at the village. They are very tired from the journey and it's already dark outside.

After their dinner, Linda look for a spell that she can deliver to Dr. Phil to be use to reduce the effects of the black magic. After she found it, she sent it to Chip using another water sprite. The water sprites can activate the spell.

After a good night rest, they are ready to continue on their journey. They continue the journey and arrive at the border of The City within half a day. As soon as they enter The City, Dayu felt something.

"Urgh! What was that?"

"What is it Dayu? Is something wrong?"

"I felt something! But it's very faint! Anyways, lets get to your friend first!"

"Alright! Let's go Blue! It should be just right up ahead!"

"I see it Linda! The house with the barrier!"

"land there Blue!" they landed safely and greeted by Dr. Phil.

"Linda! Thank you for coming as soon as possible!"

"Don't mention it Phil! You are my friend! I will come and help if it's within my capabilities! Now let me see the patient!"

"Yes! Yes! Right away! This way please!" *creak*creak*

*swosh* ["Wow! There it is again! But it's stronger here in the house!"]

["Dayu! Dayu! This is black magic Dayu! I can feel its presence!]

["What! So this is the essence of the black magic! And I think it's not a normal one right!?"]

["Yes it's not! But I wouldn't know unless I have contact with it!"]

["Alright! I will try to make contact so you may know and we might find the solution!"]

["Alright!"]

"So, Linda... how is she?"

"This is the act of black magic! But I don't know what kind of black magic is it! It's something I have never seen before!"

"But, can you cure it?"

"I can try but I don't know whether it will work!"

"Umm... Linda... can you let me see her!"

"Sure Dayu! Here..."

"Thanks!" Dayu hold Adele's hand and forehead and close his eyes.

["So, what do you think Light! Can you tell what kind if magic is this?"]

["Yes Dayu! I know what black magic is this but first we have to stop it! It's taking the life force and magic of this child! Hurry and tell Linda to mix these herbs together and give it to the girl so she can replenish a little bit of her life force! Right now, she doesn't have enough life force to withstand the spell I'm about to conjure!"]

"Linda! Mix these 3 herbs quickly and give it to the girl to replenish her life force! We have to hurry! She's in great danger!"

"Alright Dayu!" Linda quickly brew the herbs and give it to Adele.

"Alright! Now everybody stands back a little! I'm going to purify her!" Dayu conjure up a spell in a language that Linda don't know of. After a few minutes, the spell is done.

"Linda, brew more of that potion and give it to her! And I also need you to brew these 5 herbs together and give it to the mother! She and her daughter need to drink it one spoon twice a day! This will help them to replenish their energy and magic and also prevent any dark magic from entering their body!"

"Yes Dayu! Right away!" Linda did as she's told.

Now Dayu needs to find the source of black magic in the house.
