Glynda's POV:

I went up to Ozpin's office to complained about this man's antics around school grounds nearly a week of waiting. I got in front of the elevator and pressed the button and waited for it to come down. As I waited I heard metal jingle with every footstep and looked around to see who was there. I looked down the way I came and saw the gunfighter standing in front of me looking down with a unlit cigar in his mouth and a mug of coffee in his hand. "Mind if I join you?" I glared at him for some time before sighing and moving to the side and let him wait with me for the elevator. I quite looking at him and started to head into the elevator after I heard the ding and the doors opened. I pressed the top button and stood to the side of the elevator with him standing on the other staring at the digital counter that let the people know when they're approaching his floor. I looked at him as he took a sip from his metal mug while staring at the floor counter. "You had no reason to be sh-" "Reason ain't got nothing to do with it. I have to follow his orders to get paid now and I haven't seen a job yet. Don't go telling me what to do if I'm not hurting anyone." I didn't answer because I knew he was right. Why did you have to do this Ozpin? Why would force him to help us like this? I mentally asked myself pinching the bridge of my nose. We both looked at the door when we heard the ding signaling us that our floor is here. I expected him to go a head of me but he held his hand out allowing me to leave first. I didn't say anything to him until I approached Ozpin's desk. "Headmaster I would like to com-" Ozpin interrupted me as I tried to complain to tell the gunfighter something. "You're here, good! I have a job for you, I need you to travel into Emerald Forest and find a White Fang camp south east of Vale. They've captured a team that was sent out to investigate them when they were captured. I need you to bring them back alive." I looked over at the gunfighter who stared at him with the cup still in hand. "When do I leave?" "Today would be great if you mind. They may have some information that could help us find and eliminate the White Fang threat in the forest." He started to turn around and walk back to the elevator when Ozpin spoke out, "It's Team RWBY if you're wondering. It was supposed to be a simple and easy mission, but they White Fang must've anticipated them watching them." The gunfighter stopped and turned his head while replying, "Little Red's group?" I looked at Ozpin who answered yes. He got into the elevator when he turned around inside and asked, "General direction from here?" Ozpin waltzed over to the elevator with me in tow and joined him as Ozpin replied, "I'll have another hunter join you." "I don't need another school teacher following me." I shook my head at him rolling me eyes hearing him say that, but I kept my mouth shut since I know he can do a lot of by himself alone. "He'll meet you by the bullhea-" I'll take JC to get there." Ozpin looked at him and replied, "It'll be faster if you took a bullhead to their-" "I'll go on horseback. South of Beacon should put me in the path of their general vicinity. Besides, JC can go just about anywhere that a vehicle can't, land or air." Ozpin quite arguing and stayed silent as we went back down. Once we got down he went back towards the teacher's dorms and went straight into his room. Ozpin and I followed him to his room and once we arrived we saw him put the rifle he used the day before in a large rolled out bag with straps holding several other guns and blades. "Tell him I'm going on horseback. If he doesn't like it, he can stay behind. Remember Ozpin, if this goes as planned you owe me ten thousand for every successful mission." Ozpin replied, "It hasn't slipped my memory." He pulled a map out and put it in front of Ozpin asking where the village and the team were taken from. Ozpin pointed the locations and the gunfighter grabbed the rolled up cache of weapons and the saddle near the door before kicking us out and leaving.

Gunfighter's POV:

I walked out the back entrance and made my way over to JC who started to walk over to me. "Finally get to head out and do some hunting." JC stayed near me as I put my weapons down and saddled him up for my journey. As I rolled out my bag with the weapons strapped in it, I pulled my sword out and attached it to the left side of the saddle before taking the street howitzer and holstering it to the right side of the saddle while putting my two upper revolvers in the bag. As I was doing all of that a man that reeked of alcohol strolled up beside me and asked, "I'm tagging along with you!?" I turned my head slightly and saw him take a large swig from his flask before putting it away. I rolled my bag up and strapped it to the other side of JC and got myself up and on turning him towards the small slope that headed down into the forest. "Hey what about me!?" I stopped JC and turned myself in the saddle. "There's a small town not far from here, we'll get you and Ruby's team some horses when we get there before we head out to find them." He walked up beside me as I started to ask me as I had JC move at a slow pace, "How do you know Ruby?" I didn't look at and replied, "We met in Vale two nights ago unintentionally. Yesterday she wanted to have a small competition who had a better aim than the other when she was kind enough to tell me her name." He scoffed and asked after that, "Did she win? I bet you lost real fast." I pulled out a cigar from my coat pocket and lit it before answering, "We never got to find out, blondie back there didn't like what we were doing so she stopped us." As we got down the slope and into the woods he replied, "I'm not surprised." I looked down at him as he took a drink from his flask again and kept walking next to me. The sun was pass noon when we arrived in the village to acquire horses. I rode over to the barn on the end of the village where I stopped and got off JC before tying him to a fence near the entrance. A young boy came out and approached me asking, What can I do for you sir?" I looked back into the barn and saw several horses in their stalls before looking back at him and replied, "Mind if I pay for three of those horses there?" He looked back into the barn and asked, "You paying now or making me wait?" I didn't reply, but I did pull out a wad of cash and separated six hundred in cash and handed it to him. "Is that all?" I took a drag from my cigar before asking, "Get them saddled up and fed, and find me when it's done." I gave him another hundred before walking away as the kid ran walked back into the barn pocketing the cash I payed him. "I thought you were getting horses?" I took the finished cigar and flicked it to the ground before answering, "We don't need to rush the kid, he'll get us our horses and we'll be off before night falls." He closed the gap between us trying to intimidate me. "If you drag your feet, I drop your ass rig-" I pulled my left revolver out and and pointed it to his forehead responding, "Make a move and you'll be breathing out the top of your head." He backed away glaring at me as I holstered my gun and walked into the village store. I walked up to the front counter and asked the woman behind it, "I'll take a pound of jerky, some cigars, and some directions to a village south, south-east of here would be nice." She told me to hold on as she gathered what I asked and bagged them before getting a map and pointing to a path that started at the end of her village saying it'll take us right into that village. "Total is Twenty Lien sire." I gave her forty and told her to keep the change before I left and went back to JC in front of the barn where my drunk teacher-partner waited for me with three additional horses. "Done messing around cowboy, or do you want to get something to eat here while we're at it?" He asked in a angered tone. I untied JC and got on him before riding up to the other horses and took their reins in hand before heading towards the path we needed. I heard the drunk struggle to get on the horse as it started to walk away. He got on and started to ride up to me while asking another question. "Mind telling me where the hell you're taking us?" I pointed forward towards the path while taking another cigar out and lighting it. "It'll take to the village, from there we can get to the White Fang's camp before the moon rises." "How would you know they have a camp out here in the woods?" As I took a drag I replied, "No one saw a ship flying over the forest when they disappeared, no main roads lead to these villages out here, and one more dumb question out of you and I'll tell gramps back at Beacon you fell over a cliff drunk." He didn't respond to my answer but kept riding. Along the way I took some rope out of my saddle bags and tied the reins to Rummy's saddle so I could keep both my hands near me in case something should go wrong. He didn't like it, but he didn't say anything one he saw the large sword hanging on the side ready for use. We arrived at the village as the sun was half way between noon and sundown. Once we entered we noticed the village was abandoned and in tatters. "What the hell!? This place shouldn't be like this!" I looked over at him and asked, "You really don't know how things work out here do you?" He looked at me with minor shock towards my question. I rode further up a head of him before dismounting JC, tied him to a post, and grabbed my shotgun. The teacher dismounted...well he actually fell off trying to dismount before I walked over to him and picked him up. "Tie them off here so they don't wander off." He reluctantly agreed as I walked down the main road observing the ruined village. The teacher came behind me looking around as well before asking, "Well?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow and a unfinished cigar in mouth. "Well what?" He looked at me. "Well do you know what happened Sherlock?" Before I could respond we both looked down the end of the main road to hear several men heading our way. I pushed the teacher into a building near us while telling him to stay silent as the men approached the village. As we entered I shut the door just enough so I could peak out the crack I made as the men got closer. The teacher leaned over my shoulder trying to look out as well while whispering, "What are you doing?" I whispered back agitated, "Want them alerted to our presence? Just wait for them to pass."
