Chapter XX

Ozpin's POV:

Everyone started to come back as the Monday started. I have noticed that some of the students didn't leave over the weekend, specifically Teams JNPR, RWBY, and CFVY which had me curious. "Why didn't you twelve leave like everyone else?" I asked myself. I kept looking through the footage from the security cameras in the hallways and cafeteria which showed me everything they were doing. They were staying to talk to the gunfighter!? Why would they do that? I quite looking at my monitor as the elevator ranged signaling me that someone has came up to my office. "You wanted to us Headmaster?" Yang asked. "Yes. A large shipment of weapon grade dust is being shipped over to Vale and is due to arrive sometime this afternoon." Weiss asked, "You want us to guard it until someone comes to collect it?" "Weiss I highly doubt we're gonna be a bunch of security guards." Blake interjected. "Now let's not try to start an argument here girls. Atlas believes the White Fang, or possibly Torchwick may try to rob the container tonight and wants to set up an ambush. I know you four can handle such a task, but we don't know who may come with Torchwick, so I'm gonna have the gunfighter tag along with you." I waited silently as the four girls looked at one another and didn't say anything. Weiss and Yang nodded to each other before they all came to a silent agreement and Ruby finally said, "We're okay with that." I looked at them surprised and asked, "You sure? You do know he's not one to follow someone else's orders." "We know. I'd rather have him watching over us than no one really." Yang replied. "Very well. Would you four mind telling him about the mission then?" Ruby nodded with a smile on her face before getting up and walking back to the elevator. Once they left I got up and stared out the window looking over Emerald Forest. Something tells me it's not gonna turn out well tonight.

Ruby's POV:

"OHMYOUMOHMYOUMOHMOYOUM! We finally get to go on a mission with him again!" "Uh Ruby?" I quickly looked at Blake who was giving me a questionable look. "You do know when he rescued us that day doesn't count as a mission right?" I froze unsure what to say to that. "But...we still got to ride with him-I mean-" "Don't sweat it Ruby." Yang said while wrapping her arm around me. "I'm sure he'll be okay fighting with us." "Yeah, but you do know his deal with Ozpin right?" "Huh?" Both Yang and I asked. "He's not to take prisoners unless they're the target he was sent after. "Meaning?" Weiss finally joined in. "If Roman brought anyone with him, they're not gonna survive the fight." I couldn't think of a thing to say to that. "What if we capture them?" "You think he'll actually listen to us?" I finally managed to ask. The three looked at me which made me nervous and look at the panel showing where we were in the tower as we went down. "We could always try asking him." "You want to ask him Weiss? Be my guest." Yang answered sarcastically. "It doesn't sound that bad of an idea." "Thank you Blake." "Doesn't mean I'm gonna ask." Weiss stared at her in shock even though she agreed with her. The three stared at me as I tried to ignore their silent plotting. "Hey Ruby-my little sister? Mind doing me a favor? Just something small?" The door dinged signalling us we're at the main floor which gave me a chance to make a run from them. "I gotta do something with Nora!" I said trying to get myself out of the elevator, but Yang's grip on my collar wasn't budging at all. "Yang!" "Come on Rubes. You know he'll listen to you since you got him to open up to us." I sighed as Weiss and Blake agreed with her which had me now questioning their mentality. "What's gone wrong with us?" I asked getting a laugh from Yang as she let me knowing I was gonna ask him. "Do any of you know at least where he is?" I asked afraid that they were gonna make me look for him as well. Blake had a hard thinking expression going on before she answered, "I think he may be at his room in the professors dorms." "Will they even let me go there?" I skeptically asked. "Just tell them why your going there. I'm sure they'll move aside once they here your going to see him." Yang interjected before we all shuffled out of the elevator and left me there. "Great." I said to myself as I made my way to the teacher's dorm. Right as I made the turn to the hallway I ran into the worst possible professor here. "Miss Rose!? Mind explain what you're doing here?" I looked up at Professor Goodwitch staring down at me with the same scary expression she always has on. "I-I-I WAS uhhh...I was just curious to what was down here. I wa-was um..." "Headmaster Ozpin told me he gave you and your team a mission. Why aren't you with them right no-" She stopped and thought about something than moved to the side while saying, "He's at the end of the hallway to the right. Do be careful around him Miss Rose. He's far more dangerous to be around than anyone you know. Please be careful" I nodded to her and continued walking as she kept going the other way. I came to the door and waiting for a minute trying to think of an excuse, but was interrupted when he opened the door and looked down at me. "You know you could've just knocked Red." I looked up at him and gave him a little wave. "I was wondering if I could come in?" He raised an eyebrow staring at me before opening the door open for me to enter.
