Summer of Boys

Chapter 15

"Do you want some breakfast?" Morgan asks as I make my way over to the kitchen table.

"Sure!" I sit down and Morgan places a plate in front of me. It is piled high with scrambled eggs, bacon, and suasage. I'm not a huge fan of eggs but when it's in this combo I love them. I take a bite savoring every flavor.

"So Alexis what are you doing today?" Morgan asks taking a bite of bacon and folding his newspaper placing it on the table. It's Friday but Morgan doesn't have work today for some reason. "I think I'm going over to Warner Bros. Studio with Leslie and then Dylan has an interview with Ellen so I'm going to go to that at 4." It's just Morgan and I given that everyone else is asleep and it's a little awkward not going to lie. I mean ya he's family but we've never really had a conversation just the two of us.

"Right. Dylan, he's your?"

"Boyfriend." I fill in for him. Man I just love the sound of that. It's got quite the ring to it wouldn't you say? I can't believe it's already been a week since my birthday. This summer is just flying by!

"And he is an actor?"

"Correct."

"Ok just be careful. The last thing I want is for you to get hurt." Morgan says looking me straight in the eyes with a look of concern. "I'll be careful. I promise." I get up and walk over giving Morgan a hug. He seems taken back at first but he quickly hugs back. I release from the hug and give my best smile trying to get rid of some of this awkward tension before walking downstairs to the basement.

When I walk into the bedroom I see Leslie still sound asleep in bed. Sighing I walk over to her side and gently push her trying to wake her up. No such luck. I keep trying until finally I lose my patience and just push her all the way off the bed. After I hear the loud thud and the scream leave Leslie's lips I walk over to the dresser to finish getting ready.

"What the hell was that for?" Leslie shouts shooting me daggers.

"I tried to wake you up and you wouldn't get up so I knew that would do it." I say nonchalantly clasping my necklace my sister gave me around my neck. "Now get ready we leave for the studio in an hour." When I say this Leslie quickly scurries off into the bathroom to shower.

An hour later we are finally leaving the house with me driving for a change since I'm the only one whose been there. Leslie just keeps going on an on about how excited she is to see everything. After 20 mintues of driving we reach the gates to Warner Bros. I am met with the same lady who was here the other time I came over a month ago. Wow I can't believe how long it's been since I first came here.

The women smiles and immediately opens the gate to let us through. I drive through the gate and find a parking spot fairly close to the front. Leslie and I get out and she follows me to where they are shooting. I can't believe I still remember where everything is.

After taking a right around a corner I see everyone set up already filming a scene. I turn around and signal Leslie to be quiet as we walk along side the set making sure not to get in the way. We stand and watch everyone acting in front of us and it is truely amazing.

Once we hear the director yell cut I walk over to greet my lovely boyfriend. "Hey you were great!" Dylan wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my cheek as a thank you and a greeting. "Hey! Didn't I do good?" Tyler P asks pouting. I laugh and walk over giving him a hug and kiss on the cheek. "Yes you all were amazing." I walk back over to Dylan and he keeps one hand around my waist.

"Hey Leslie hows it going?" Hoechlin comes up throwing an arm around Leslie's shoulders.

"Pretty good how about you Hoechlin?" Whoah Leslie calls him Hoechlin? How close did they get at my party? I observe the two chatting for a little while longer until Dylan pulls me out of my thoughts with a slight tug around my waist.
