When I got home later that day Leslie was already waiting by the door ready to pounce as soon as I opened it. I ignored her constant questions until we made it to the basement where it was private and out of ear shot of everyone else in this house. Leslie still wouldn't stop though, she kept asking her silly questions as I just stared at her. If she would have shut up for five seconds I would have answered them by now but no she had to keep talking. That's how Leslie was she never stopped talking!
"Leslie."
"So like did you know he was going to do that?"
"Leslie."
"Of course you didn't the look on your face-
"Leslie."
"That was just so cute!"
"LESLIE!" She jumps back at my outburst. Looks like I was finally able to get her attention. I calmly sit down on the bed and she follows finally getting the idea that for me to tell her anything she was going to have to stay quiet.
"Now no I had no idea he was planning on doing that or even going public with our relationship. I'm glad he did though even if he didn't give me a warning." I couldn't help the smile that crept on to my face and it looked like neither could Leslie.
"Can I freak out now?" I nod my head and Leslie jumps up grabbing me with her and jumps around the room. I don't complain though and I freak out right along with her. That's when Jenny decides to enter our room to see what all the yelling is about. Or at least that's what I'm assuming shes doing.
"What is going on in here?" She laughs taking in the both of us freaking out.
"Dylan introduced Alexis as his girlfriend on the Ellen Degenerous Show!" Leslie squeals.
"What? Aww I'm so happy for you!" Jenny grabs both our hands and jumps around the room with us until Morgan comes in questioning out sanity.
"Well congratualtions Alexis. He's a good guy. Why don't we have him over for dinner tonight?" Jenny asks with a huge smile on her face.
"Sure I'll ask." Jenny walks out the room with Morgan after he gives me a small smile. I remember our conversation we had about Dylan and smile in return.
------------------------------
"Come on Alexis just call him." I've been standing in front of the mirror for the past half hour trying to bring myself to call Dylan and invite him over for dinner. I don't know why I'm so nervous. It's not like he hasn't met Jenny and Morgan before. They met at the party, although he didn't introduce himself as my boyfriend so maybe that's what's getting me all nervous.
After another 10 minutes of having a debate with myself I picked up the phone and scrolled to his contact. I quickly pressed call before I could chicken out once again. Waitng for him to pick up was like the Jews waiting to be caught. Ok so that's a little dramatic but you know what I mean. It's nerve racking and I don't know what he'll say.
"Hello?" I hear from the other end and almost forgot I was on the phone.
"Hello?" I hear again. Crap Alexis Speak.
"Hey Dylan it's me Alexis."
"Hey what's up beautiful?" His voice just calmed all my nerves. Well not all.
"Well Jenny wanted me to ask you if you wanted to come over for dinner. That is if you're not busy."
He took a second to think about it before he responded, "Sure I'd love that!" A huge sigh of relief leaves my body as I sit down on the bed. "Good why don't you come at 6."
