Chapter 1

the hatred Anne had towards Gilbert Blythe was still alive ever since what he did in 8th grade
FLASH BACK
"Carrots!" whisper yelled Gilbert while as he pulled one of Anne's braids, trying to get her attention.
"I'm not talking to you!" Anne yelled as she stood up grabbing her MASSIVE Math book and slamming it right across Gilbert's face! Anne's eyes widened as she realized what she had done, and Gilbert's cheek went red from the impact.
"You just did." Said Gilbert.
anyways. Mr. Phillips had seen the whole thing! he punished Anne while Gilbert tried to tell him that it was his fault, but Mr. Phillips didn't believe it.
END OF FLASH BACK
It was mid-summer abd Anne and Gilbert were always just sitting at their homes wanting the 11th grade to just begin already. they were the only people who wanted it, but they never spent time to talk their love for school beacause... well of course they were "sworn enemies" according to Anne.
surprisingly, Billy wasn't having a very "exciting" summer as he had planned either, so, to make it more interesting, he decided to throw a party for everyone in the class. even Anne and all the other friends, which was wierd cause Billy hated them.
Gilbert didnmt want to go to the party cause they weren't really his especially this one cause he knew, with Billy hosting it, there would be drinking and girls and... other stuff. sane went with Anne, but they had nothing else to do and all their friends wanted to go so they decided to go knowing the other would go too.
