coffee stain

the cafe is the place i'd
stay. that's where you
went to lay your head to
rest. i swear you loved that
cafe.

when we bumped into
each other making the
biggest coffee stain. it
was really a pain to clean.
coffee in our hair. coffee all
on the chair. i don't know
where else it could be. but
i knew in that moment
i loved you and you
loved me.

we talked about living
together and having a
beautiful house and a
wonderful kid. where did
it all go wrong? what did
we ever do that we
needed to separate?

i miss you so much
and you don't even realize
it. it's not like you would.
i just want to see you
again in that coffee
shop making the biggest
coffee stain on everything.

the way your smile lit
up the room every time
you laughed at my corny
jokes. the way your hair
fell in your face and me
moving it to see you again.
your big beautiful eyes kill
me every time. who ever made
you made sure to make
everything sharp, colorful,
and beautiful.

again wanted to say that
i love you with all
my heart and that i miss you
with all my soul. i'm sad
that you had to go. it's just
what god wanted. he wanted
your time. but i don't think
you needed to go so soon. i

peace too.
