The next morning I woke up on the couch. My neck was killing from falling asleep in such a weird way and the tv was shut off.

I sat up and tried turning my head to see who was in the kitchen but it hurt to even move it.

"Shit." I cursed, standing and walking into the kitchen, rubbing my neck.

"Slept the wrong way?" Fiona asked, taking toast out of the toaster as soon as it chimed.

"Yeah, got any meds for it?" I asked, taking a seat at the counter. She slid me a plate with toast and a quarter of butter left for me to lather it with.

"As long as you don't plan on selling it." She joked, turning around with two pills.

"Ha ha." I said sarcastically as she handed me a glass of water, "Where's Lex?"

"Uh, she went to your place for a shower since our water's off." She replied, dumping a dish into the sink. "Speaking of which I need to pay the bill, will you dump that when you're done I have to go pick up my paycheck and what not."

I nodded, biting into my toast and she left with a smile. The house was once again quiet, not even Liam was wondering around. That was until Debbie came downstairs with a wide smile on her face.

"Debsters," I smirked, earning a glare from the girl as I used my nickname for her, "almost didn't hear you sneaking your boyfriend out last night."

"I wasn't sneaking him out," She defended, turning to the refrigerator and grabbing orange juice.

"So then what was with the subtle whispering and the 'Shh you're gonna wake her up' business?" I inquired and she just rolled her eyes at me. "What're your plans for today?"

"I don't have any." She shrugged, sitting down next to me after stealing my toast.

"You wanna do something?" I smirked.

"I am not running around graffitiing buildings on the Northside with you, Janie." She groaned, throwing back the rest of her oj.

"Ugh, fine." I groaned, turning to face her. Guess she was boring too.

"Yeah, sorry. I'm not my brother." She shrugged, "And I don't think I want to hang out with anyone younger than me, it might screw my reputation."

"I'm a year younger than you!" I called as she walked up the steps. She stopped, peeking her head out from the staircase.

"Exactly."

A groan escaped from my lips as I sat slouched on the Gallagher couch. The family had been coming in and out all day and no one had time or felt like doing anything. I even attempted hanging with Ian while he was in bed. I tried talking to him but he wasn't contributing much to the conversation, which I get. It would take a while for him to get used to and balance his meds.

"Whoa, whoa!" The front door swung open to Mickey and Ian drunkenly singing. Their faces were bloody but I still managed a smile, glad to see my favorite couple happy together again. Then suddenly Sammi, who I despised, came in running her mouth about how he was going to have some tough times ahead of him but he'd do great. Then out of nowhere two military officers appeared, ready to arrest Ian.

"What the fuck Sammi?" I questioned, hopping over the couch and pulling Mickey off of one of the officers.

"Now you'll all know what it's like to have someone you love taken away from you!" She yelled, tears in her eyes and a crazy smile on her lips.

"Calm the fuck down, Mickey!" I yelled at him as the opposite military officer handcuffed Ian. They both dragged Ian outside and he screamed. Mickey and I quickly rushed out after him, Mickey still yelling and asking why he was being arrested. Then suddenly Fiona was there and Sammi was on the steps yelling about now we would all feel how she did. All while I stood frozen in my spot, just like I did when I saw Carl getting arrested, and silently cried. I took it all in, and then I let it all out. Then suddenly I was by Mickey's side.

"We're gonna figure this out okay, Mick?" I questioned, making him look down at me. I hugged him tightly and it took a while for him to hug me back, but when he did he broke down crying into my shoulder.

I was always close to the Milkovich's, just like I was with the Gallagher's. My sister was close friends with both families, which meant I was too.
