Shinning through thin curtains the beautiful rays of the sun danced against my skin, warming the soft exterior of myself. My eyes fluttered open warily, a yawn escaping my drooling mouth as I sit upright on the bed. I look to my left to see Carl's long and kinky hair covering his face.

7:01 my phone states boldly. I carry myself to the shower, no one else awake, for a relaxing refresher. The semi-warm water hits me like a ton of bricks, memories of the night before resurfacing. How would this play out?

A load of energy embraces me as I grab the baby blue towel leaning on the sink. My heart picks up its pace as my hand reaches for the door handle and exit the bathroom.

"Morning Janie." Liam comes from the bedroom rubbing his eyes and walking towards the bathroom. I tiptoe carefully into the bedroom, trying not to wake Carl, but of course he was sitting on his bed stretching adorably.

"Damn mamas, you gonna drop the towel or just tease a guy?" His sleepy and raspy voice calls out to me bent over and digging in drawers. Nerves explode within me, my cheeks beginning to redden.

"Talk to me when you've fixed the rat nest on your head." I respond nonchalantly, slyly slipping on underwear and a bra. A cunning hand slips around my waist, my back pressed against his stomach causing me to look into his eyes.

"Didn't seem to bother you last night." Those azure eyes gazing down at my lips. I leaned in steadily before a devilish smirk drew itself upon his lips and he pulled away. I watched as he cockily moved towards the now empty bathroom, listened as water began running. My chest held still as a look of embarrassment covered my face.

Dressed in simply a pair of sweatpants and a tight t-shirt I waited for Carl to go to school with. I watched as Fiona quickly walked passed me, sitting on the couch, to the door as the pitter patter of feet was heard down the back stairs.

"Yo you ready?" Carl called appearing in front of me wearing a black sweatshirt and grey joggers. I could feel my face changing it's tint as I looked up at the gorgeous boy in front of me.

"Yes."

"Let's go, what're we waiting for?" We began our walk to school, Carl wrapping an arm around my neck loosely, my head pressed lightly onto his shoulder.

"I'm not gonna be home until later tonight." I peered up at him, admiring his new hair. Although I was never a girl for long hair, damn did he make it look attractive.

"Why where you going?" His arm tightened around my neck as he looked down at me. Biting my lip I watched to the concrete passing under us.

"Alexia and I are checking out our apartment after school." I respond, giggling faintly. "Why, you jealous of something?"

A weak pink painted his cheeks as he dropped his arm from around me, looking down to me. "No."

His voice was strong and deep as he continued walking to the school before us, leaving me distraught and slightly confused.

The rest of the day went by in a haze. Confusion overrode me as I pondered about last night and then this morning. All of a sudden he seemed to have no interest in me, even though I was only messing around. I thought maybe he was joking with me at first, but he seemed so serious.

At lunch he was missing, which I didn't mind. It gave me time to listen to music and overthink until I felt like dropping dead.

Alexia found me as I exited the school, a large smile spread over her angelic face. I noticed the light shade of green in her eyes differing from the usual darkness in them.

"How was school?" She questioned, her smile never fading.

"Boring; the usual." I responded dryly.

"And Carl?" I rolled my eyes.

"Still confused, I guess."

"Well get over it for an hour tops. We're going to make this apartment a dream come true. Home." It was the first time I had ever heard her sweet voice call somewhere home, aside from the Gallghers'. The contagion of her smile expands to me as she pulled me in for a hug.

When we enter the apartment building I get this strange sense of familiarity. It was big, full of rooms for tenants. Not too many were taken. We follow behind the landlord whom did not introduce himself, taking us to the second floor. As soon as the door opened I fell in love with the place.

The floors were wooden, half of the walls were colored with grey paint while the other half was sheer brick giving a rustic and chic definition to it. There were two bedrooms, not too big or small, a bathroom, living area, and kitchen.

Alexia and I wandered every crevice of the apartment finding it was perfect to us, even though there was a few things that needed fixing, it was perfect.

"You claiming this room?" Alexia put her hands on my shoulders, causing me to jump, coming back from signing the lease.

"Yup. Putting the bed by the window, a rug between it and the closet, dresser there, desk there." I pointed all over the room, "Tapestries, lights, polaroids."

"Might be awhile before we decorate anything, but we'll get there I promise you." I turned and hugged her tightly.

"Its perfect Lex. Thank you so much for everything."

"Of course Janie, I do everything I can so I can give you a better life." We smiled so widely and genuinely. In that moment I had never felt happier before. We took a few more looks around and shared our opinions on decorations before we figured it was time we left.

"How was it?"

"Jesus christ Carl! You scared the shit out of me." Turning to see Carl sitting in the dark with headphones on. I could hear the loud beats of rhythm from the door.

"Sorry." I could see him shrug faintly, "How was it though?"

"It was awesome. I can't wait to move in and decorate, our sleepovers are gonna be so fun." I smiled wide setting my book bag on the floor.

"Oh yeah?" His fingertips ran up my arms so delicately it left my skin rising with goosebumps, shivers running down my spine, a warm impression in my stomach. I looked to my side, a hand pulling my hair out of the way, heat belting at the skin on my neck. His lips pressed so softly against my neck, my breaths becoming lengthier and deeper. I craved more. Carl's other hand made its way under my shirt, dreadfully slow moving against my stomach and towards my breasts.

"Carl.." I moaned softly. Quickly he turned and pushed me against the wall, one hand around my neck and the other by my head. His thumb pulled my lower lip down as his body moved closer to my own.

"I don't want you to leave." in whispers.

"What?"
