First of all, I wish to thank mkbutprinxiety for mentioning me in their lovely book Nothing More. Much love!

Also, a warm welcome to all my new readers!

--Roman--

Roman breathed deeply as his easy gait took him along a pretty path that ran between two stately sandstone buildings. A vine, decked in tiny russet flowers, twisted through a wooden awning above his head. The evening rays of the evening sun - freckled by the vines as it passed through – filled out the dips and peaks of his face. He hummed a merry little tune to himself. As late in the day as it was, the air so full of life and sounds. So many melodies. Soft rustles of leaves and gushes of wind. The chatter of voices surrounded him as the freshman class strolled along the tour route. Gosh, he was glad to get out of that stuffy hall.

Felicity slipped her arm through his left arm, while Deirdre flanked his right side.

"You're looking super cheery, boo. Even more than usual!" said Felicity, and Roman giggled.

"Happier than when you finished a whole bowl of fruit and nut ice cream at the Deli?" asked Deirdre dryly.

"Aw! Drop it. That was just once!" grumbled Roman.

"So, spill the deets! What's with the smile?" Felicity tugged at his hand impatiently.

"Um... It's a nice day..."

"And?"

"I have so many friends!"

"And?"

"Dorian was nice to me!"

"You sure you got the right adjective?" That was Deirdre.

"He did apologise," defended Roman.

"Okay our little teddy bear has got a little crushy rushy!" Felicity did a tap dance.

Roman struck a pose. "And in record time too!"

Deirdre pulled him aside. "Cool your jets, lover boy. Are you sure about this?"

He frowned. "Whatever is there to be worried about?"

Deirdre gave him a sideways glance. "I pegged you for the jump-and-then-think type. Thanks for proving me right. You make it way too easy."

(Felicity did a handstand)

"Hey! Give me some credit!"

"I will when you earn it, Roman."

"What act of intelligence must I perform?" Roman swept his arm at the sky. "Just name it."

(Felicity did a cartwheel.)

"Answer me this then. What are you doing stringing V along?"

"Uh... was I?"

"He thinks so."

"He told you?"

"No. It was plain to see. But you had your head in the clouds as usual."

(Felicity did a flying leap)

"Tarnation."

"He's very sensitive. And a bit odd. If you mislead him... it won't be pretty."

"Geez. You don't like him too?"

"What I think doesn't matter. But... Roman, do you?"

"I guess? I mean I didn't have a chance to think too much about it..."

"I suggest you do. If you hurt him I. Will. Destroy. You." Deirdre intoned calmly.

(Felicity bent backwards and touched the ground)
